Central Railway’s Mumbai Division has announced a Mega Block on Sunday, November 2, 2025, to undertake essential engineering and maintenance works across its suburban sections. The block will impact services on both the Main and Harbour lines, leading to diversions and cancellations during the specified hours.

Main Line Block Between CSMT and Vidyavihar

Train services on the UP and DOWN slow lines between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Vidyavihar will remain affected from 10:55 a.m. to 3:55 p.m.

During this period, DOWN slow services departing from CSMT between 10:48 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. will be diverted to the DOWN fast line between CSMT and Vidyavihar. These trains will halt at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla before rejoining the slow line at Vidyavihar.

Similarly, UP slow services departing Ghatkopar between 10:19 a.m. and 3:52 p.m. will operate on the UP fast line between Vidyavihar and CSMT. They will stop at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla en route to the terminus.

Harbour Line Block Between Kurla and Vashi

On the Harbour Line, both UP and DOWN services between Kurla and Vashi will be suspended from 11:10 a.m. to 4:10 p.m.

Consequently, DOWN Harbour line trains from CSMT to Vashi, Belapur, and Panvel departing between 10:34 a.m. and 3:36 p.m., as well as UP Harbour line trains from Panvel, Belapur, and Vashi towards CSMT departing between 10:17 a.m. and 3:47 p.m., will remain cancelled during this period.

To ease commuter inconvenience, special suburban trains will operate between CSMT–Kurla and Panvel–Vashi sections. Additionally, Harbour line passengers will be permitted to travel via the Thane–Vashi/Nerul route from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Railways Appeal for Cooperation

According to Dr. Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, these maintenance mega blocks are essential for the upkeep and safety of railway infrastructure. Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the Railway Administration during the maintenance window.
