The tragic discovery of a 20-year-old NEET aspirant, Nikki Yadav, has raised concerns in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. After being reported missing following her participation in the re-examination on June 21, her body was recovered from the Narmada River in Khargone district on June 22. Authorities confirmed her identity and stated that the body was located near Karhi village.

Nikki resided in British Park Phase 2, Indore, and had travelled to Mhow to take the NEET re-examination. According to police records, she contacted her family later on the same day, indicating that she had returned to the Bhawarkuan area in Indore and would arrive home shortly. When she did not return, her family initiated a search for her.

The father of Nikki reported her missing to the Bhawarkuan police station after she failed to come back home late that evening. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Addl DCP, Zone 2) Amarendra Singh provided insights into the complaint lodged by her father, stressing the urgency of the situation. The investigation was promptly launched following the missing person report.

The police have been actively investigating the circumstances surrounding Nikki’s disappearance. Initial findings indicated that her mobile phone was last traced to the Barwah area in Khargone, suggesting a deviation from her expected route between Mhow and Indore. This has raised questions about her movements after the examination.

According to Addl DCP Singh, a thorough inquiry is currently underway, aiming to piece together the timeline of the events leading up to the recovery of her body. Investigators are considering various angles to ascertain the exact nature of her disappearance and subsequent death.
