IndiGo has cancelled a total of twenty-four flight movements at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi due to adverse weather conditions, impacting twelve scheduled flights. This includes both arrivals and departures. The airline reported that these cancellations were necessary because of the weather situation on September 25, 2026.

The cancellations comprise flights connecting Ranchi with various major cities such as Kolkata, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Patna, and Delhi. The specific flights that have been cancelled include 6E 7561/7562, which was operating on the Kolkata-Ranchi-Kolkata route, and 6E 6484/6799 for the Pune-Ranchi-Bengaluru route. Other cancelled flights included 6E 421/398 on the Hyderabad route and 6E 6087/6088 from Mumbai.

Air India Express Flight Updates

In addition to IndiGo’s cancellations, an Air India Express flight IX 1239/1244 operating from Bengaluru to Ranchi was also cancelled due to operational issues. Furthermore, flight IX 1046 from Delhi was delayed, arriving at Ranchi at 9:56 am instead of its scheduled time of 8:40 am. The return flight IX 1047 from Ranchi to Delhi subsequently departed at 10:52 am, later than its planned departure of 9:10 am.

Passengers affected by these delays and cancellations have been advised to verify the current status of their flights with their respective airlines. The ongoing weather issues may affect further flight operations, prompting ongoing monitoring of the situation.
