HDFC Mutual Fund is thrilled to announce the much-awaited return of its #NurtureNature campaign chapter three on this World Environment Day. Building on the resounding success of last year’s sapling planting endeavour, this year’s campaign takes a bold step towards repurposing the plastic waste that plagues our planet. In a world where less than 10 percent of plastic waste gets recycled, HDFC Mutual Fund is determined to make a difference. Thus, from June 5th to June 10th 2023, the campaign invites all digital investors to join the cause by registering a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP). For every SIP registration in eligible schemes during this period, HDFC Mutual Fund pledges to repurpose 250 grams of plastic waste, symbolizing their commitment to tackling this pervasive environmental issue.
Emphasizing the importance of embracing online investments, HDFC Mutual Fund calls upon investors and partners to adopt an eco-friendly approach. The #NurtureNature campaign sheds light on the dire consequences of plastic pollution impacting our oceans, biodiversity, and even human health. By championing responsible resource management, both in terms of plastic and financial resources, HDFC Mutual Fund envisions a brighter and sustainable future for generations to come.
Mr. Navneet Munot, MD & CEO of HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm for this socially responsible initiative, stating “At HDFC Mutual Fund, we firmly believe that true economic progress is intertwined with the well-being of our environment. Our #NurtureNature campaign, now in its third edition, remain steadfast in its commitment to forging a greener, cleaner, and brighter future for all. Recognizing the urgency of the global plastic pollution crisis, we are proud to center this year’s campaign on repurposing plastic waste. With collective efforts, we can drive lasting change through the small step we take today.”
