CM Yogi Adityanath Says If Sanatan Weakens, Nation Will Also Weaken

The CSR Journal Magazine

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday asserted that the strength of the nation is directly connected to the strength of Sanatan values. Addressing a large gathering at an idol installation ceremony at Tapodham Ashram in Sitapur, the Chief Minister said preserving India’s cultural ethos is essential for maintaining unity and national resilience.

Speaking at the annual religious event, Yogi highlighted the role of Sanatan traditions in shaping India’s civilisational identity. He said these values have guided society for centuries and continue to remain relevant in addressing present-day challenges. The event witnessed participation from devotees and community members from various regions.

Warning Against Divisive Forces

During his address, Yogi Adityanath cautioned against forces attempting to divide society on the basis of caste, language and region. He said such divisions weaken the social fabric and ultimately harm the nation. According to him, any threat to Sanatan traditions should be viewed as a threat to national unity.

The Chief Minister also referred to incidents involving minority Hindu communities in neighbouring countries, stating that cultural erosion often begins when societies fail to protect their core values. He urged people to remain alert and united in safeguarding their traditions.

Emphasis On Cultural Heritage

Yogi underlined the importance of India’s cultural heritage, saying it has survived centuries despite challenges because of its inclusive and humane philosophy. He referred to the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and said Sanatan values promote harmony, compassion and coexistence.

He added that while many ancient civilisations disappeared over time, Sanatan culture has endured and continues to provide moral and social guidance. The Chief Minister praised the role of religious institutions and community participation in keeping these traditions alive.

Call For Public Participation

Calling upon citizens to actively practise and promote cultural values, Yogi said a society rooted in tradition is better equipped to face modern challenges. He stressed that preserving cultural identity is a collective responsibility and cannot be left to institutions alone.

The event concluded with prayers and community interactions, reinforcing the message of unity and cultural continuity. Yogi expressed confidence that greater public engagement would strengthen both social harmony and national resolve.
