FIA Raid on Fake Call Centre in Islamabad Turns Chaotic as Local Loots Electronic Equipment

On March 15, 2025, a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raid on a fake call center in Islamabad’s Sector F-11 took an unexpected turn, as locals seized the opportunity to loot the facility. The call center, allegedly run by Chinese nationals, was suspected of being involved in international fraud, scamming people across the globe. The FIA had been investigating the operation for a while, and when they raided the center, over two dozen people, including foreign nationals, were arrested. However, some of the suspects managed to escape.

Videos of the Incident Surfaces on Social Media

As the operation unfolded, security measures at the site were poorly coordinated, allowing residents to storm the building. Videos quickly surfaced on social media showing dozens of individuals looting valuable electronic equipment, including laptops, desktops, and monitors. Some even took furniture and cutlery, treating the raid like an open market. One social media user posted a video, captioning it, “Pakistanis have looted a Chinese-run call center in Islamabad; hundreds of laptops and electronic components, along with furniture and cutlery, were stolen during Ramadan.”
The raid, part of an investigation into a fraudulent call center operation, highlighted a major lapse in security. Reports indicate that Pakistani workers were also involved in scamming people from various countries, making the raid a high-profile operation. Despite the arrests, several suspects managed to escape, and the situation quickly escalated into chaos as looters ransacked the facility.

Similar Incidents Reported Before

This incident is not isolated. Public looting has been reported in Pakistan before, including an attack on a mall in Karachi in 2024. The FIA’s operation, meant to curb an international scam, instead turned into a spectacle, with the security breach leading to widespread theft.
Authorities have yet to comment officially on the incident, but the viral videos have sparked discussions about the need for better security protocols during high-risk operations. Meanwhile, the investigation into the fake call center continues as the FIA seeks to identify those involved in the fraud and the looting.

Curfew Imposed in Manipur’s Churachandpur District

Tensions are running high in Manipur’s Churachandpur district. Following the assault on Richard Hmar, a curfew was imposed on Monday. Richard Hmar is the general secretary of the Hmar Inpui, a prominent Hmar tribal organisation. The attack on Hmar occurred on Sunday evening at the VK Montessori complex in Zenhang Lamka.
The altercation erupted following a collision between his vehicle and a two-wheeler. Richard Hmar was severely beaten by a group of miscreants. His condition was so severe that it required medical attention due to excessive bleeding. The Hmar Inpui organisation condemned the attack, and demanded swift justice into the matter. The community later took to the streets of Churachandpur on Monday, protesting and engaging in stone-pelting outraged by the assault.

Hmar Inpui’s Statement

Hmar Inpui also released a statement on Sunday, soon after Richard Hmar was assaulted, “… Hmar Inpui general secretary was caught by a group of men on his way home, blindfolded and incessantly beaten even after he asserted himself of his identity inside the campus of VK Montessori School, Zenhang Lamka. The general secretary is undergoing medical treatment due to excessive bleeding and injury”.

Prohibitory Orders Issued

In order to curb the growing unrest, authorities implemented prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. This restricts unauthorised gatherings, processions, and the carrying of weapons. The order aimed to prevent further violence and maintain peace and order in the district.
The order by the additional district magistrate stated: “Whereas reports have been received from SP Churachandpur that there is serious apprehension of breach of law and order in the district, which is very likely to be detrimental to peace and tranquility among different communities, including damage to life and public property”.
It also noted the “urgent need to maintain law and order to prevent any untoward incident”, adding that the restrictions apply to unauthorised processions or unlawful gatherings of five or more people and the carrying of weapons, including sticks, rods and stones.

What does the Police say?

While talking to the news agency PTI an officer said, “Curfew was imposed in Churachandpur as a precautionary measure following the clashes. We have imposed a curfew after receiving a report from Churachandpur SP indicating serious apprehension of a breach of law and order.”
Furthermore, a statement from the district administration noted that there were serious concerns over a potential breach of law and order, which could disrupt the peace between different communities. To manage the situation, a curfew was declared as a precautionary measure following violent clashes between the Hmar and Zomi communities, leading to heightened tensions across the region.

Clashes lead to Curfew

According to reports, the clashes, which included stone-pelting, took place between the Hmar Inpui and Kuki-Zo tribes against the Zomi tribe. The protesters were seen removing Zomi flags from a mobile tower, further escalating the situation. The current unrest stems from deep-rooted ethnic tensions within the region. Meanwhile, the authorities are concerned about the potential for further violence in the region.

Thadou Students’ Association Appeal for Peaceful Dialogue

Following the unrest the Thadou Students’ Association (TSA-GHQ) expressed deep concern over the escalating ethnic conflict. The association urged all parties involved to prioritise peaceful dialogue over hostility. They further called on the government and civil society to facilitate negotiations aimed at fostering justice, fairness, and mutual respect among the groups.
The TSA-GHQ said, “We urge all concerned groups viz Kuki/Kuki-Zo, Hmar, and Zomi, to prioritise negotiations over hostility… We also call upon the government and civil society organisations to facilitate peace-building efforts in the spirit of justice, fairness, and mutual respect”.
Meanwhile, Churachandpur District Commissioner Dharun Kumar S appealed to community leaders to engage in constructive dialogue to resolve the issue. “Violence and unrest will not lead to a solution,” he emphasised, urging calm and restraint during this critical time.

Figure Skating से भारत को जोड़ने का प्रयास

United States Of America में पैदा होने के बावजूद Tara Prasad भारत को अपना घर मानती हैं और तिरंगे तले प्रतिस्पर्धा करती हैं। सम्मान के तौर पर 21 वर्षीय स्केटर अपनी विरासत का जश्न मनाने के लिए भारत के छोटे-छोटे तत्वों को अपने रूटीन में शामिल करने का प्रयास करती हैं। उनका मानना है कि यह भारतीय प्रशंसकों को इस खेल से जुड़ने में मदद करेगा। उन्होंने कहा, “प्रतियोगिताओं के लिए मैं अपने कपड़े खुद ही सजाती हूं। मेरे गहने, एक्सेसरीज़ सभी मुझे भारत में कपड़े की दुकानों से मिलते हैं। मेरे पास अपने लंबे प्रोग्राम के लिए भारत से असली सोने के आभूषण भी हैं।” उसी दिशा में आगे बढ़ते हुए तारा प्रसाद ने यह भी कहा कि कला और संस्कृति के साथ देश का गहरा संबंध भारतीय फिगर स्केटर्स को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सुपरहिट बना सकता है। भारतीय संगीत में रूचि रखने वाली Tara नेआगे कहा, “भारत में बहुत सारी प्रतिभाएं हैं, जो अवसरों, सुविधाओं और कोचिंग की कमी के कारण आगे नहीं बढ़ पाती हैं। मुझे लगता है कि भारत बहुत ही कलात्मक देश है। जाहिर है यह देश कला और रचनात्मकता में बहुत समृद्ध है, और यह फिगर स्केटिंग में आपके स्कोर का आधा है। भारतीय स्केटर बेहद रचनात्मक हैं, हम नृत्य में काफी अच्छे हैं।”

Tara Prasad का सफर और प्रेरणा

तारा प्रसाद का जन्म और पालन-पोषण United States of America के आयोवा के सीडर रैपिड्स में हुआ था, लेकिन अपने परिवार के कारण वह भारत से जुड़ी रही हैं। उनकी मां का परिवार दक्षिण भारतीय राज्य Tamilnadu के Chennai से है, जबकि उनके पिता उसी राज्य के एक शहर शिवगंगा से हैं। तारा प्रसाद ने खुलासा किया, “मेरा अधिकांश परिवार भारत में है। मेरे पिता यहां मेरे साथ अमेरिका में हैं, लेकिन मेरा बाकी परिवार वहां है। इसलिए, मैं अमेरिका और भारत की यात्रा करती रहती हूं।” Tara Prasad की मां कविता रामास्वामी अपने हाई स्कूल के दिनों में राष्ट्रीय स्तर की Hurdle Race Champion थीं। ट्रैक और फील्ड एथलीट की इकलौती संतान होने के कारण उनका भी खेल के प्रति लगाव आसानी से हो गया। तारा ने अमेरिका में रहते हुए सात साल की उम्र में फिगर स्केटिंग शुरू कर दी थी। फिगर स्केटिंग में उन्हें किस बात ने आकर्षित किया, इसपर तारा प्रसाद ने याद करते हुए कहा कि एक बच्चे के तौर पर उन्हें लगा कि बर्फ पर गिरना वास्तव में मज़ेदार होता है। दो बार की World Champion और ओलंपिक पदक विजेता दक्षिण कोरियाई फिगर स्केटर Yuna Kim, तारा प्रसाद की आदर्श हैं। Yuna Kim 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics में महिला एकल चैंपियन थीं। “मैं उन लोगों की भी सराहना करती हूं जो स्केटिंग को जारी रखते हैं, फिर भले ही वे थोड़े बड़े हों। उदाहरण के लिए ओलंपिक पेयर्स चैंपियन Aljona Savchenko! मैं उन्हें बहुत पसंद करती हूं, क्योंकि उन्होंने ओलंपिक पदक जीतने के लिए कई बार कोशिश की और आखिरकार जीत की जिद्द ने उन्हे Champion बना दिया।” तारा साथी भारतीय-अमेरिकी Ami Parekh से भी प्रेरणा लेती हैं, जो भारत में महिला फिगर स्केटिंग के शुरुआती लोगों में से एक थीं। Ami Parekh एक सीनियर इंटरनेशनल स्केटिंग यूनियन (ISU) इवेंट में प्रतिस्पर्धा करने वाली पहली भारतीय Figure Skater थीं और उनके नाम दो वर्ल्ड फिगर स्केटिंग चैंपियनशिप और तीन फोर कॉन्टिनेंट्स भी शामिल हैं। वह आठ बार की National Champion भी थीं।

जीत का सफर जारी है

Tara Prasad को अभी भी अपने स्केटिंग आदर्शों को फॉलो करने के लिए एक लंबा सफर तय करना है, लेकिन यह सुंदर भारतीय फिगर स्केटर निश्चित तौर पर बर्फ पर सभी का ध्यान आकर्षित कर रही है। तारा कहती हैं, “जब लोग रिंक पर मुझे देखते हैं, फिर चाहे वह दर्शक हों या जज हों या अन्य लोग, तो मैं उस वक्त उन्हें ही अपनी प्रेरणा मानती हूं।” भविष्य में Tara Prasad के सफर में कुछ और Achievements जुड़ने की उम्मीद के साथ ये उम्मीद भी जुड़ी हुई है कि भारत में फिगर स्केटिंग के प्रति लोगों की दिलचस्पी बढ़ेगी और भविष्य में हमें कुछ अच्छे परिणाम देखने को मिलेंगे।

Kolkata, India: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attended an Iftaar gathering at Furfura Sharif in Hooghly’s Jangipara, just days after her meeting with Indian Secular Front (ISF) chairperson Nawsad Siddique stirring political speculation. The visit underscores her continued efforts to consolidate minority support ahead of the upcoming elections.
Furfura Sharif is one of the most revered religious sites for Bengali Muslims and plays a crucial role in the state’s socio-political landscape. Nawsad Siddique, the great-grandson of Pir Saheb Mohammad Abu Bakr Siddique—whose mazar is located at the shrine—holds considerable influence. As the lone MLA outside the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the West Bengal Assembly, representing Bhangar with the backing of the Left and Congress, his political stance is keenly observed.

Mamata Banerjee’s Vote Bank

With Muslims and other minority groups making up nearly a third of Bengal’s electorate, their support has been pivotal for Mamata Banerjee since the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. Given the BJP’s emergence as the primary Opposition force, retaining this voter base remains crucial, particularly in 120 of the 294 Assembly constituencies where minority votes are decisive.

Following the meeting, he publicly acknowledged the Chief Minister’s assurance of support.
Previously viewed as a potential vote-splitter akin to AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi, accused of aiding the BJP by fragmenting the Muslim vote, Nawsad has gradually repositioned himself as an influential political player. A senior leader from the Treasury benches described him as a “bright young leader with a growing following” who upholds Bengal’s secular and inclusive fabric.
Mamata Banerjee’s participation in the Iftaar at Furfura Sharif is a calculated move to reinforce her engagement with minority leaders, signalling possible realignments ahead of the elections. The BJP has persistently accused the TMC of indulging in minority appeasement, a charge Mamata has repeatedly dismissed as an attempt to polarise voters.
As the political landscape in Bengal continues to evolve, Mamata Banerjee’s outreach efforts indicate that the contest for the state’s minority vote bank remains at the heart of the upcoming electoral battle.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the Lok Sabha during the Budget session of Parliament, where he spoke about the how successful Maha Kumbh 2025 has been which was recently hosted in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj. “I bow to crores of people of the country who contributed to the success of Mahakumbh in Prayagraj,” PM Modi said in Lok Sabha.
The Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj commenced on January 13 this year and concluded on February 26 and witnessed a footfall of 66 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Mahakumbh on February 5 where he took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, which is the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati rivers.

“India’s new generation connected with Mahakumbh, it is embracing traditions and faith with pride. Entire world witnessed grandeur of India during Mahakumbh. Unity in diversity is speciality of India, we experienced it in Prayagraj and should continue to enrich this,” PM Modi said in Lok Sabha as reported by PTI.
Calling the Maha Kumbh an example of ‘sabka prayaas’ or collective endeavour during which the entire world got to experience the grandeur of India, the PM said at the Lok Sabha that the Maha Kumbh “reflects the spirit of rising India”. “Several people had a role to play in the success of Maha Kumbh. I thank all the ‘karm yogis’ of the government and society,” PM Modi said.
Talking about the Maha Kumbh, the prime minister appreciated the arrangements and implementation by the Uttar Pradesh government of the grand religious congregation, which witnessed participation from millions of devotees from across the world along with saints and tourists. He also called the Maha Kumbh a “nectar of unity” and said, “The Maha Kumbh was an event where people from every region, from every corner of the country, came together as one.”

Those who couldn’t attend felt they missed out, but those who did were left in awe,” CM Yogi recently said while talking about the success of Maha Kumbh 2025.

अधिकारियों ने बताया कि ऐसी अफवाह फैली कि प्रदर्शनकारियों ने पुतले के साथ एक धार्मिक पुस्तक जलाई है, जिसके बाद दो पक्षों में पथराव हुआ। कई गाड़ियों में तोड़फोड़ हुई, दो JCB में आग लगाई गई। पुलिस ने बवाल कर रहे लोगों को रोकने के लिए आंसू गैस के गोले भी छोड़े। DCP निकेतन कदम पर कुल्हाड़ी से हमला किया गया। हिंसा में कई लोगों के घायल होने की खबर है। पुलिस ने 55 से ज्यादा लोगों को हिरासत में लिया है। Nagpur शहर में BNS की धारा 163 (IPC की धारा 144 की तरह) लागू कर दी गई है। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि प्रारंभिक जानकारी के अनुसार चिटनिस पार्क से शुक्रवारी तलाव रोड का इलाका हिंसा से सबसे अधिक प्रभावित हुआ, जहां दंगाइयों ने कुछ चार पहिया वाहनों को आग के हवाले कर दिया। घरों पर भी पत्थर फेंके गए। यह घटना चिटनीस पार्क और महाल इलाके में हुई, जहां पुलिस हजारों की संख्या में मौजूद भीड़ को तितर-बितर करने की कोशिश कर रही थी। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक शांति व्यवस्था बहाल करने के लिए पुलिस की 20 टीमें बनाई गई हैं।

CM Fadnavis ने की शांति की अपील

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis ने लोगों से शहर में कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखने में प्रशासन का पूरा सहयोग करने की अपील की है। उन्होंने कहा, “हम लगातार पुलिस-प्रशासन के संपर्क में हैं। नागपुर एक शांतिपूर्ण शहर है। शहर की शांति बनाए रखें और किसी भी अफवाह पर विश्वास न करें।” डिप्टी सीएम एकनाथ शिंदे ने कहा, “प्लानिंग के साथ हमला किया गया है। पुलिस पर पत्थर फेंके गए हैं। ऐसा करने वालों को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा। औरंगजेब देश का दुश्मन है। उसके समर्थकों के खिलाफ सख्त एक्शन लिया जाएगा।” नागपुर DCP अर्चित चांडक ने कहा, “गलतफहमी के कारण यह घटना हुई है। स्थिति कंट्रोल में है। सभी से अपील है कि बाहर न निकलें। पत्थरबाजी न करें। कुछ पुलिस कर्मी घायल हुए हैं।” इधर, छत्रपति संभाजी नगर में एहतियातन औरंगजेब की कब्र पर सुरक्षा बढ़ा दी गई है। जिले के SP ने बताया कि कब्र के आसपास SRPF की एक कंपनी और दो प्लाटून तैनात कर दिए गए हैं। CM Phadnavis ने महाराष्ट्र भाजपा अध्यक्ष और कैबिनेट मंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुले से अपने आधिकारिक निवास ‘सागर’ में आधे घंटे तक बैठक की। इसके बाद बावनकुले नागपुर के लिए रवाना हो गए। CM ने उन्हें कल की घटना पर रिपोर्ट सौंपने को कहा है। बावनकुले नागपुर के संरक्षक मंत्री हैं। वहीं, मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस Nagpur दक्षिण-पश्चिम सीट से विधायक हैं।
Nagpur में दंगे की घटना के बाद मुंबई में पुलिस सुरक्षा बढ़ा दी गई है। मालवणी, भिंडी बाजार, कुर्ला, शिवाजी नगर-मानखुर्द और अंटॉपहिल जैसे मुस्लिम बहुल इलाकों में स्थानीय पुलिस को सतर्क कर दिया गया। मुंबई पुलिस ने भी विभिन्न इलाकों के सभी धर्मों के प्रमुख लोगों से संपर्क कर किसी भी प्रकार की अफवाह पर विश्वास नहीं करने की अपील की है।

कैसे भड़की हिंसा की चिंगारी

विश्व हिंदू परिषद और Bajrang Dal ने छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज की प्रतिमा के सामने औरंगज़ेब की कब्र हटाने के लिए प्रदर्शन करना शुरू किया। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने औरंगज़ेब का पुतला जलाया जिसमें आपत्तिजनक धार्मिक सामग्री का इस्तेमाल किया गया था। इसी बीच ऐसी अफवाह फैली कि प्रदर्शनकारियों ने मुस्लिम समुदाय के पवित्र ग्रंथ को भी जलाया है। इसके बाद एक समुदाय विशेष के लोग भी वहां जमा हो गए और धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंचाने का आरोप लगाया। दोनों पक्षों के बीच कहासुनी के बाद स्थिति तनावपूर्ण हो गई और पुलिस भी आ पहुंची। पुलिस ने भीड़ को तितर-बितर करने के लिए हल्का बल प्रयोग किया, जिसके बाद कुछ प्रदर्शनकारी दूसरे चौक पर पहुंचे और फिर वहां दोनों समुदाय के लोगों में पथराव शुरू हो गया। इसके बाद उत्तेजित भीड़ ने मारपीट, पथराव और आगज़नी शुरू कर दी।

Nagpur हिंसा से आहत मंत्रियों के बयान कुछ इस तरह आए-

केंद्रीय मंत्री Nitin Gadkari ने इस घटना को Nagpur की छवि के ख़िलाफ़ बताते हुए कहा कि, “यह दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि दो समूहों के बीच विवाद के बाद तनावपूर्ण स्थिति पैदा हो गई है। नागपुर पूरे देश में अपनी शांति और  सद्भाव के लिए प्रसिद्ध शहर है।” BJP विधायक प्रवीण दटके ने कहा,”बाहर से आए विशेष समुदाय के लोगों ने योजनाबद्ध तरीके से अलग-अलग समुदायों के लोगों के बीच तनाव पैदा करने की कोशिश की। उन्ही लोगों ने वाहनों में आग लगाई और पत्थरबाजी की।” शिवसेना UBT प्रवक्ता Anand Dubey ने महायुति सरकार को दोषी ठहराते हुए कहा, “कानून व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित करना राज्य सरकार की प्राथमिकता है। Nagpur में हुई हिंसा बेहद दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है। हालात नियंत्रण से बाहर हैं।” महाराष्ट्र के छत्रपति संभाजीनगर (पहले औरंगाबाद) में स्थित औरंगजेब की कब्र हटाने का मामला तूल पकड़ने लगा है। बजरंग दल और विश्व हिंदू परिषद (VHP) ने महाराष्ट्र सरकार से इसे जल्द हटाने की मांग की है। विवाद के बीच कब्र की सुरक्षा बढ़ा दी गई है। विश्व हिंदू परिषद (VHP) महाराष्ट्र और गोवा के क्षेत्रीय मंत्री गोविंद शेंडे ने औरंगजेब की कब्र को गुलामी का प्रतीक बताया। उन्होंने सोमवार को कहा, “औरंगजेब ने छत्रपति संभाजी महाराज को मारने से पहले 40 दिनों तक यातना दी थी। ऐसे क्रूर शासक का निशान देश में क्यों रहना चाहिए? “

CM Fadnavis ने दी औरंगजेब समर्थकों को चेतावनी

उधर महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने एक कार्यक्रम में कहा, “ क्रूर औरंगजेब के बर्बर विचारों का महिमामंडन करने वालों के खिलाफ सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। उस विचार को वहीं कुचल दिया जाएगा।” तेलंगाना के गोशामहल से BJP विधायक हिन्दूवादी नेता T Raja Singh ने भी VHP और Bajrang Dal की मांग का समर्थन करते हुए औरंगज़ेब की कब्र हटाने की मांग की है। इससे पहले T Raja Singh ने केंद्रीय मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत को 15 मार्च को लिट्‌ठी लिखी थी। उन्होंने Nagpur के छत्रपति संभाजी नगर जिले में स्थित मुगल सम्राट औरंगजेब के मकबरे के रखरखाव पर भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण (ASI) द्वारा आवंटित खर्च का विवरण मांगा है। उन्होंने कहा,” आखिर हिंदू राजाओं की हत्या करने, मंदिरों को तोड़ने वाले और हमारी संस्कृति का दमन करने वाले औरंगजेब के मकबरे पर सरकारी खर्च का क्या औचित्य है? करदाताओं का एक भी रुपया उस तानाशाह की कब्र के रखरखाव पर खर्च नहीं किया जाना चाहिए, जिसने हमारे पूर्वजों को बहुत पीड़ा दी।” शिवसेना उद्धव गुट(UBT) के नेता संजय राउत ने कब्र विवाद को लेकर भाजपा नेताओं पर निशाना साधा। उन्होंने कहा,” औरंगजेब की कब्र मराठाओं के शौर्य का एक स्मारक है। यह आने वाले पीढ़ी को बताएगा कि किस तरह से शिवाजी महाराज और मराठा सैनिक आक्रांताओं से लड़ते रहे। ये स्मारक मराठा साम्राज्य की जीत का प्रतीक है। कुछ लोग अभी नए-नए हिंदुत्ववादी बने हैं। अभी राजनीति में नए आए लोगों को इतिहास क्या पता होगा?” इससे पहले शनिवार को बजरंग दल के नेता Nitin Mahajan ने औरंगजेब की कब्र हटाने की मांग की। उन्होंने चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि, “अगर सरकार ऐसा करने में विफल रहती है तो इसका भी बाबरी मस्जिद जैसा ही हश्र होगा। औरंगजेब की कब्र पर इबादत की जा रही है। संभाजी के हत्यारे की कब्र बनाई जा रही है। जब ऐसी कब्रों पर इबादत की जाती है तो समाज भी उसी तरह विकसित होता है। उस समय हम असहाय थे, लेकिन अब VHP और Bajrang Dal मांग कर रहे हैं कि इसे हटाया जाना चाहिए। हम जानते हैं कि जब हिंदू समुदाय अपने अस्तित्व को लेकर आंदोलन करता है तो क्या होता है। हम सभी ने देखा कि अयोध्या में बाबरी ढांचे को हटाने के लिए क्या हुआ। अगर सरकार कब्र नहीं हटाती है, तो हम सड़कों पर उतरेंगे, आंदोलन करेंगे और ज़रूरत पड़ी तो हम कारसेवा भी करेंगे।”

Congress और SP के विवादित बयान

उधर कांग्रेस के बयान ने इस मामले को और तूल दे दिया है। महाराष्ट्र में कांग्रेस विधायक विजय वडेट्टीवार ने कहा, “ बजरंग दल और VHP के पास करने के लिए और कुछ नहीं बचा है। वे नहीं चाहते कि महाराष्ट्र के लोग शांति से रहें। वे राज्य में विकास की गति को धीमा करना चाहते हैं। मैं उनसे कहना चाहूंगा कि औरंगजेब 27 साल तक यहां रहे और वे राज्य के लिए कुछ नहीं कर पाए। अब उनकी कब्र हटाने के बाद उन्हें क्या मिलेगा? “ पिछले दिनों मुगल शासक औरंगजेब की तारीफ करने के बाद महाराष्ट्र के सपा विधायक Abu Aazmi को पूरे बजट सत्र के लिए सस्पेंड कर दिया गया था। महाराष्ट्र का बजट सत्र 3 मार्च को शुरू हुआ और 26 मार्च को खत्म होगा। 3 मार्च को Aazmi ने कहा था, “हमें गलत इतिहास दिखाया जा रहा है। औरंगजेब ने कई मंदिर बनवाए हैं। मैं उसे क्रूर शासक नहीं मानता। छत्रपति संभाजी महाराज और औरंगजेब के बीच धार्मिक नहीं, बल्कि सत्ता और संपत्ति के लिए लड़ाई थी। अगर कोई कहता है कि यह लड़ाई हिंदू और मुसलमान को लेकर थी, तो मैं इस पर विश्वास नहीं करता।” Aazmi की बात पर सदन में विवाद बढ़ने पर आज़मी ने कहा, “औरंगजेब ने मंदिरों के साथ मस्जिदों को भी नष्ट किया। अगर वह हिंदुओं के खिलाफ होता, तो 34 प्रतिशत हिंदू उसके साथ नहीं होते। उसके शासनकाल में भारत को स्वर्ण चिड़िया कहा जाता था। इसे हिंदू-मुसलमान एंगल से नहीं देखना चाहिए।”
सपा विधायक ने आगे कहा था, “औरंगजेब ने 52 वर्ष शासन किया और अगर वह सच में हिंदुओं को मुसलमान में परिवर्तित करते, तो सोचिए कितने हिंदू परिवर्तित हो जाते! 1857 की विद्रोह में जब मंगल पांडे ने लड़ाई शुरू की, तो उसका साथ सबसे पहले मुसलमान बहादुर शाह जफर ने दिया था।” Maharashtra के डेप्युटी CM Eknath Shinde ने आज़मी के बयान पर आपत्ति जताते हुआ कहा कि,” Abu Aazmi पर देशद्रोह का मुक़दमा चलाना चाहिए। सपा विधायक उस औरंगज़ेब की तारीफ़ कर रहे हैं, जिसने मराठा सम्राट संभाजी को 40 दिनों तक तड़पाया। ऐसे क्रूर शासक को महिमामंडित करना पाप है।” अपने बयान पर विवाद बढ़ता देख 4 मार्च को आज़मी ने माफ़ी मांगते हुए कहा, “मेरे शब्दों को तोड़-मरोड़ कर दिखाया गया है। लेकिन फिर भी मेरी बात से कोई आहत हुआ है तो मैं अपने शब्द, अपना स्टेटमेंट वापस लेता हूं। मैंने वही कहा है जो इतिहासकारों और लेखकों ने लिखा है। मैंने छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज, संभाजी महाराज या अन्य किसी भी महापुरुष के बारे में कोई अपमानजनक टिप्पणी नहीं की है।” लेकिन उनके बयान ने लोगों को उनके ख़िलाफ़ कर दिया। उधर यूपी बजट सत्र के आखिरी दिन CM Yogi ने विधान परिषद में अबू आजमी के बयान का जिक्र करते हुए कहा, “ भारत की आस्था को रौंदने वाले का महिमामंडन करने वाले सदस्य को सपा से बाहर निकाल देना चाहिए। उसे (अबू आजमी) यहां बुलाइए। उत्तर प्रदेश ऐसे लोगों का उपचार करने में देर नहीं करता।”

पुलिस ने सुरक्षा के कड़े इंतजाम किए

Nagpur में औरंगजेब की कब्र वाले इलाके में पुलिस ने सुरक्षा के कड़े इंतजाम किए हैं। विभिन्न स्थानों पर बैरिकेड्स लगा दिए गए हैं। ऐसी व्यवस्था की गई है कि वहां केवल एक ही व्यक्ति प्रवेश कर सके। औरंगजेब के मकबरे का मुख्य द्वार पुलिस ने बंद कर दिया है। औरंगजेब की कब्र के पास जाना भी प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया है। फिलहाल औरंगजेब के मकबरे को बाहर से ही देख सकते हैं। दरअसल, मुगल सम्राट औरंगजेब की कब्र महाराष्ट्र के Nagpur जिले के खुल्दाबाद में है। इतिहासकारों के मुताबिक, 1707 में जब औरंगजेब का निधन हुआ, तो उनकी इच्छा के अनुसार उन्हें खुल्दाबाद में उनके आध्यात्मिक गुरु शेख जैनुद्दीन की दरगाह के पास दफनाया गया। यह स्थान छत्रपति संभाजीनगर से करीब 25 किमी दूर है। औरंगजेब की कब्र एक साधारण मिट्टी की बनी हुई थी, जिसमें बाद में ब्रिटिश वायसरॉय लॉर्ड कर्जन ने संगमरमर लगवाया था। इस स्थान को ऐतिहासिक और धार्मिक दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है, जहां लोग आज भी श्रद्धांजलि देने पहुंचते हैं। ज्ञात हो, कि मराठा छत्रपती संभाजी महाराज पर बनी फिल्म ‘छावा’ के प्रदर्शन के बाद मराठा समुदाय में औरंगजेब के खिलाफ आक्रोश बढ़ गया और नतीजतन Nagpur जिले में स्थित औरंगज़ेब की कब्र को नेस्तनाबूत करने के लिए आवाज़ें उठने लगीं।

India Formally Asks for USAID Spend Info

India has formally asked for the USAID spend information of India-based projects from the US embassy on an urgent basis. This is against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump’s claims of expenditure of $21 million by USAID in India to boost voter turnout during elections.
MEA informed Rajya Sabha last week, in response to a written question, that it has also sought information about NGOs through whom various initiatives may have been executed.
However, such details are yet to be provided by the US side, said minister of state for external affairs ministry Kirti Vardhan Singh in his response
“While there is some open-source information available on this matter, govt understandably expects an official response from the US govt on this matter,” he said.

The Written Request

“In view of the recent reports regards USAID funding in India, the ministry of external affairs has formally asked the US Embassy to urgently furnish details of expenditure incurred on all USAID assisted/funded projects in India over the last 10 years,” the ministry said in its response to Brittas.
The MEA further highlighted that certain details about USAID beneficiaries have been withheld by the US administration, citing legal provisions under American law that allow “exceptional redactions.” “As per that legislation, the exceptional redactions include information that would jeopardise the health or security of an implementing partner or programme beneficiary. Another justification is a determination that the information online would be detrimental to the national interests of the United States,” the ministry noted.
On steps being taken to prevent Trump’s remarks on tariffs from affecting India-US ties, the minister said both sides remain engaged to address all issues of concern including the issue of trade and tariffs in a constructive manner.
Singh said Modi’s visit to Washington DC on Feb 13 offered an opportunity for both the leaders to reaffirm the strength of India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership that is anchored in mutual trust, shared interests, goodwill and robust engagement of their citizens.

Nagpur: Violence Erupts Over Aurangzeb’s Tomb, Clashes Hits Parts of Area

Right-wing groups in Nagpur caused violence on Monday after staging their protest against the presence of Aurangzeb’s tomb in Maharashtra. According to local reports, the protests began when rumours surfaced that during the protest a sacred religious text was intentionally harmed which led the Muslim community to become enraged. Multiple police officers along with civilians received injuries during the violent scenes that combined stone-throwing behaviour with fire damage and destruction. Authorities implemented an area-wide curfew in Nagpur to prevent additional unrest from occurring.
The situation started intensifying when members from both Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) conducted a protest near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj monument in the Mahal region. Protesters set fire to both an effigy representing Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and a symbolic grave concealed in green cloth while demonstrating to eliminate Aurangzeb’s tomb. Word spread fast about the alleged Quran burning which caused everyone to become angry. The growing tension received additional fuel through social media videos which intensified the situation.

Violence Escalated Quickly

Local Muslim youths started gathering during evening hours to shout slogans while clashing with the police forces. The escalation of violence happened quickly because people burned various vehicles while throwing stones at police forces and private buildings. Large-scale vandalism and stone-pelting events took over both Kotwali and Ganeshpeth areas after the unrest expanded. This rapid spread involved more than 1000 participants in destructive conduct. The turmoil led police to use mild physical reaction methods through riot sticks and tear gas to disperse the group.
As tensions continued to rise, the authorities imposed a curfew in multiple police station jurisdictions, including Kotwali, Ganeshpeth, and Lakadganj, under Section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). The curfew aimed to prevent further disturbances and allow law enforcement to regain control. Prohibitory orders were also enforced, banning large gatherings and ensuring public safety.

Political Leaders Urges to Maintain Harmony

Nagpur’s local administration and prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, appealed for calm, urging citizens not to fall prey to rumours. They assured the public that strict actions would be taken against those responsible for the violence. The police began reviewing CCTV footage and social media content to identify the culprits, with over 50 people already detained.
The violence has been condemned by various political leaders, with opposition parties accusing the state government of mishandling the situation. Maharashtra Congress leader Harshvardhan Sapkal criticised the administration for its failure to prevent the violence, while others called for an end to provocative speeches and actions that might inflame communal tensions. The situation remains tense, with authorities on high alert as they work to restore peace in Nagpur.

Political Leaders Took to X by Mentioning the Situation

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “Whatever has happened in Nagpur’s Mahal area is very inappropriate. It is very wrong for a crowd to gather and throw stones like this. I request all the people of Nagpur to follow law and order. Nagpur is a city where people live in harmony. Therefore, no one should disturb the peace. I am keeping a close eye on the situation,” he said, adding that strict action would be taken against those who resort to violence. “If anyone is attacking the police, it will be taken very seriously”.
Supriya Sule, Lok Sabha MP from NCP (Sharad Pawar), said the violence in Nagpur is unfortunate. “We appeal to the citizens to please not believe in any rumours. Let us all work together to maintain an atmosphere of mutual harmony and harmony. This is Maharashtra of progressive ideas. Let us all work together to maintain this identity of our state,” she said on X.

होली खेलना शरीयत में गुनाह

अब उन्‍हीं मौलवी ने तेज गेंदबाज की बेटी आयरा के होली खेलने को अवैध और शरीयत के खिलाफ बताया है। Indian Bowler Mohammad Shami की बेटी आयरा का Holi खेलते हुए एक वीडियो वायरल हुआ, जिसके बाद ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम जमात के अध्यक्ष मौलाना शहाबुद्दीन रजवी ने कहा, “शरीयत के नियमों के तहत इस्लाम में Holi खेलना गुनाह है। वह एक छोटी बच्ची है। अगर वह बिना समझे होली खेलती है, तो यह कोई अपराध नहीं है। अगर वह समझदार है और फिर भी होली खेलती है, तो इसे शरीयत के खिलाफ माना जाएगा।” रजवी ने कहा कि उन्होंने Shami को पहले भी इस्लाम के सिद्धांतों का पालन करने की सलाह दी थी। इसके बावजूद उनकी बेटी का होली मनाते हुए एक वीडियो सामने आया। उन्होंने कहा, “मैंने Shami और उनके परिवार के सदस्यों से अपील की है जो भी शरीयत में नहीं है, उसे अपने बच्चों को न करने दें। Holi हिंदुओं के लिए बहुत बड़ा त्योहार है, लेकिन मुसलमानों को होली नहीं मनानी चाहिए। अगर कोई शरीयत को जानते हुए भी होली मनाता है, तो यह गुनाह है।”

Metropolis Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Ameera Shah-led Metropolis Healthcare Limited, India’s second-largest and most respected pathology laboratory chain, hosted the 7th edition of the MedEngage Scholarship Summit 2024-25 in New Delhi. As one of India’s largest private-sector medical outreach programs in the healthcare space, MedEngage provides financial aid, research grants, and skill-building opportunities to support and nurture young medical students.
Established in 2018 under the vision of Metropolis Chairman Emeritus Dr. Sushil Shah, MedEngage has evolved into a flagship CSR initiative and an award-winning program. To date, it has received over 10,000 registrations from across the country. This year, scholarships and research grants totalling Rs. 1.1 crore were awarded to 353 medical students, including 43 recipients of research grants.
The MedEngage Scholarships support undergraduate and postgraduate medical students across all years of MBBS education, including postgraduate training for MD/MS/DNB and the intervening internship year. These scholarships recognize outstanding achievements in academics, extracurricular activities, and research, including thesis presentations. Each year, students from nearly 500 government and private medical institutions across 27 states actively participate in the program.
The Summit was graced by eminent medical leaders, including Dr. Arun Gupta, President – Delhi Medical Council; Dr. Alok Bhandari, President – Delhi Medical Association; and Dr. Shubnum Singh, Principal Advisor – Health Policy, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), New Delhi. Additionally, leading medical professionals from various specialties attended, further highlighting the program’s impact on India’s emerging medical talent.
Commenting on the program, Dr Duru Shah, Chairperson, Metropolis Foundation said, “MedEngage has grown into a powerful platform that nurtures future medical professionals while strengthening India’s healthcare system. Many aspiring doctors face financial constraints and limited access to practical training, making it difficult to reach their full potential. By offering financial aid towards research and hands-on learning opportunities, MedEngage ensures that talent thrives based on merit. The program’s strong focus on inclusivity expands access for students from underserved regions, creating a diverse and capable healthcare workforce prepared for future challenges.”
The selection process, managed by Deloitte, follows a rigorous and competitive approach to choosing scholarship recipients. For research grants, an esteemed jury comprising experts from top academic institutions played a key role in evaluating the quality and impact of proposed projects. The panel included Dr. J. A. Jayalal, President of the Commonwealth Medical Association; Dr. Narendra Saini, Chairman of IMA; Dr. C. M. Singh, Director of Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), Lucknow; and Dr. Pradeep Aggarwal from AIIMS Jodhpur.
