Yogi Adityanath Grants ₹1 Lakh Financial Aid Each to 555 Kailash Mansarovar Pilgrims

In a recent initiative, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed out financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each to 555 pilgrims embarking on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The distribution took place at Lok Bhavan, where the Chief Minister addressed the attendees. He emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that devotees from Uttar Pradesh do not encounter any difficulties during their pilgrimage.

Improvements in Pilgrimage Infrastructure

While speaking at the event, Yogi Adityanath highlighted the construction of the Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan in Ghaziabad, completed during 2017-18. He stated that the aim of this facility is to provide devotees with better amenities at pilgrimage sites. Referring to tourism statistics, he noted that in 2025, over 164 crore people visited various religious places in Uttar Pradesh, with approximately 66 crore attending the Prayagraj Mahakumbh alone.

Focus on Tourism and Employment

The Chief Minister underscored the double-engine government’s dedication to enhancing the tourism sector in the state. He articulated that advancing tourism is a strategic approach to foster development in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to create new job opportunities for the populace while enhancing the spiritual experience for pilgrims.

Tribute to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna

On the same day, Yogi Adityanath also paid homage to the late Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, a former Chief Minister and Union Minister of Uttar Pradesh, on his death anniversary. He acknowledged Bahuguna’s significant contributions to the development of the state and noted the freedom fighter’s relentless efforts in raising social public awareness.

Remembering Contributions to Social Awareness

During the tribute, the Chief Minister highlighted Bahuguna’s role in fostering social awareness and a sense of national consciousness in independent India. Yogi Adityanath remarked on Bahuguna’s distinguished career as a public representative and his commendable work as Chief Minister and Union Minister, asserting that all his initiatives were designed to benefit various societal segments and enhance the well-being of the common people.

CM Yogi concluded his remarks by expressing respect for Bahuguna’s enduring legacy, citing his unwavering commitment to societal welfare and national progress as key pillars of his public service.
