UP CM Yogi Adityanath to Distribute Land Ownership Certificates to Displaced Families

The CSR Journal Magazine

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will distribute land ownership certificates to 331 Hindu families who were displaced from Bangladesh during the period following India’s independence. This initiative aims to provide these families with the long-awaited legal recognition of their land rights, which have not been granted until now.

The Chief Minister’s Office has confirmed that this ceremony is part of a broader strategy to facilitate the integration of displaced communities into the socio-economic fabric of Uttar Pradesh, ensuring they can benefit from the same rights as other residents in the state.

Alongside the distribution of certificates, CM Adityanath is scheduled to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for 213 development projects, summing up to a financial outlay of Rs 417 crore. These projects are set to be implemented across various locations including Lakhimpur Kheri, Dhaurahra, and Mohammadi.

Tharu Tribe Benefitting from Land Ownership Initiative

In a separate event planned at Chandan Chowki in Palia, Chief Minister Adityanath will present land ownership certificates to an additional 4,556 families belonging to the Tharu tribe. This initiative is geared towards recognising tribal rights and promoting their welfare, as many Tharu families have reportedly faced challenges in establishing legal claims to their ancestral lands.

Furthermore, during this occasion, Adityanath will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for 314 projects valued at Rs 817 crore across Palia, Srinagar, Nighasan, and Gola. The focus of these projects is to enhance infrastructure and uplift living conditions in tribal areas.

These efforts are integral to the state government’s commitment to development and social equity. By addressing the needs of both displaced and tribal communities, the administration aims to create a more inclusive environment that fosters growth and stability.

Recent Developments in Urban Infrastructure

On April 8, 2025, CM Yogi Adityanath performed the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the Greater Agra project, signalling a major advancement in urban development within the state. This project is expected to play a crucial role in the enhancement of infrastructure in the Agra region.

Addressing the attendees during the ceremony, CM Adityanath remarked on India’s resilience in the face of global challenges. He highlighted the significant strides the nation has made under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, especially in comparison to other countries grappling with conflict and inflation.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence in India’s continued progress, which he attributed to stable governance and sound economic policies. He outlined the state government’s ongoing efforts to further support the development agenda and improve the quality of life for all residents.
