The CSR Journal Magazine

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has made the examination calendar for November and December 2026 available, detailing the timelines for three significant recruitment examinations. These include the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Paper-I, the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (CHSL) Tier-I.

According to the proposed timetable released by the commission, the examinations are set to occur between November 2 and December 31, 2026. All three assessments will be conducted in a Computer Based Examination (CBE) format.

Details of SSC Junior Engineer Examination

The SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Paper-I examination will be held from November 2 to November 6, 2026. This computer-based test is intended for candidates who have applied for recruitment through the SSC JE examination process. Further details about examination centres, city information, and admit cards, along with critical instructions for candidates, will be issued separately by the Commission.

Candidates are advised to frequently check the official SSC website for any updates and ensure that they have all necessary application-related information at hand when required.

The introduction of CBE format aims to streamline the test-taking experience, providing a level playing field for all candidates involved.

Schedule for Sub-Inspector Examination

The examination for the Sub-Inspector positions in Delhi Police and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) is scheduled to take place from November 20 to November 28, 2026. Similar to the JE examination, this assessment will also be conducted online in the CBE mode.

Further information regarding the locations of examination centres, the issuance of admit cards, and thorough exam-day instructions will be communicated through subsequent notices from the SSC. Candidates must closely adhere to all guidance provided by the Commission and rely only on official announcements for updates.

The timeline allows candidates ample opportunity to prepare for this crucial examination, which plays a significant role in their career trajectories.

Information on CHSL Tier-I Examination

The SSC CHSL 2026 Tier-I examination is slated to begin on November 30 and will run until December 31, 2026. This computer-based assessment is designed for the recruitment of candidates for various posts under the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level recruitment process.

Candidates should consult the detailed CHSL notification for comprehensive information regarding eligibility criteria, available vacancies, selection stages, syllabus, and other relevant conditions. This preparation is essential to ensure they meet all prerequisites for application.

It is vital to remember that the SSC has characterised these dates as proposed, indicating they may be subject to change. As such, candidates should refrain from relying on unofficial schedules or updates from social media channels.

Closer to the examination dates, the SSC will provide further details regarding examination cities, admit cards, reporting requirements, and other logistical arrangements. With the proposed schedule available, candidates can begin structuring their study and revision plans effectively.
