A late-night gathering at a roadside dhaba in Raipur turned deadly in the early hours of Tuesday after a minor confrontation regarding the feeding of a dog escalated into a violent incident. The individual who lost his life has been identified as Shiv Prasad Dhruv. Reports indicate that he was enjoying his meal at the dhaba when an argument ensued between him and the cook, along with one of the cook’s associates.

Dispute Quickly Turns Violent

According to police accounts, what started as a verbal disagreement escalated rapidly. During the ensuing altercation, Dhruv was reportedly attacked and sustained a severe chest injury. Eyewitnesses at the dhaba noted that he collapsed, losing consciousness shortly after the attack.

Emergency Response and Medical Outcome

Patrons of the dhaba immediately took action and transported Dhruv to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, medical personnel pronounced him dead upon arrival. Following the incident, law enforcement initiated inquest proceedings and requested a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
