Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan marked his 35th birthday on November 22 with an exciting surprise for fans, the release of the much-anticipated teaser of his upcoming romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sameer Sanjay Vidwans, the film stars Ananya Panday as the female lead and promises a heartwarming, visually rich love story.

A Fun, Modern Love Story With a Throwback Touch

The teaser opens with the line, “If you’re going to live another week, live the best week of your life,” setting the tone for an emotional yet entertaining narrative. Kartik appears as Ray, a charming “mama’s boy” who flaunts his physique and cheekily claims that no one, from Malaika to Uorfi, would let a man like him slip away. Ananya Panday steps in as Rumi, a romantic at heart who dreams of a classic 90s-style love story despite the fast-paced dating culture of 2025.

Their contrasting personalities collide during an international holiday trip, sparking playful banter and humorous clashes. At one point, Kartik mocks Rumi’s feminist ideals, while she remains unimpressed by his carefree approach to relationships. Despite the friction, sparks soon begin to fly, with the teaser offering glimpses of vibrant dance numbers, scenic foreign locales and a playful FRIENDS reference that has fans buzzing.

A Reunion of a Beloved On-Screen Pair

Fans are thrilled to see Kartik and Ananya reunite after their successful pairing in the 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh. Their easy chemistry once again takes center stage, hinting at a romantic journey that explores the tug-of-war between old-school affection and modern attitudes.

Releasing on Christmas 2025

Presented by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, the film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora and Bhumika Tewari. The movie also boasts music by Vishal–Shekhar and features what is touted to be India’s first AI-powered motion poster. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is slated to hit theatres on December 25, 2025, offering audiences a festive season filled with romance and laughter.
