IGI to Get 3D Map, 24×7 Live Video Support, Instant Flight Details and Others

The Indira Gandhi International Airport is going to get a smart search function to help passengers find specific locations within the terminal along with 24*7 live video support. Other features include instant flight detail by scanning the boarding passes, a map to locate boarding gates, restaurants, shops and other facilities. This is part of the virtual information display (VID) kiosks launched at Terminal One and Terminal Three of the IGI Airport. These kiosks are designed to enhance a passenger’s experience and simplify navigation inside the biggest international airport in the country.

DIAL’s Future Plan

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), which operates Indira Gandhi International Airport, aims to assist passengers by providing them with real-time flight information, navigation updates and live customer service facilities. =

“The VID is not just a kiosk. It is a companion designed to redesign how passengers interact with their airport environment said DIALCEO Videsh Kumar Jaipuriar.

DIAL also stated that further enhancement may include multi-language support, emergency assistance, services, and Wi-Fi access within airport premises.
