Esha Singh Shines with Two Golds at Asian Shooting Event

Indian pistol shooter Esha Singh delivered a standout performance at the Asian Shooting Championship, capturing the gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event. Competing in a closely contested final, the 21-year-old accumulated a winning score of 239.8, staging a strong comeback to emerge at the top.

Singh successfully fended off stiff competition from Chinese Taipei’s Cheng Yen-Ching and Yu Ai-Wen. Cheng finished with a score of 235.4 to take the silver, while Yu claimed the bronze with 217.7 points. The event saw fluctuating positions throughout, with Singh ultimately prevailing through composed marksmanship in the closing stages.

This victory adds to Esha’s growing list of achievements on the international shooting circuit, reinforcing her position as one of India’s prominent pistol shooters.

India Takes Team Gold in Women’s Air Pistol

In addition to her individual victory, Esha Singh also played a pivotal role in securing the team gold medal for India in the women’s 10m air pistol category. She partnered with Manu Bhaker and Rhythm Sangwan for the event. Their combined performance outclassed rival teams and earned India the top podium position.

The team’s collective consistency and high scores contributed significantly to India’s overall medal count at the championship. The women’s pistol team result marks another milestone in India’s strong showing in continental shooting events.

Samrat Rana Wins Bronze in Men’s 25m Standard Pistol

In the men’s section, Indian shooter Samrat Rana claimed the bronze medal in the 25m standard pistol event. Displaying steady form, Rana finished behind competitors from China and Kazakhstan, who took home the gold and silver medals respectively.

Samrat’s podium finish added another medal for India, contributing to the men’s side performance at the championship.
