Actor Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur have been dating for a while now, as per sources and they have plans to get married soon in February. A latest report stated that the duo is planning to tie the knot on Valentine’s Day. As per the report of Free Press Journal, actor Dhanush and Mrunal are planning to keep the ceremonies private and mostly family and close friends would be a part. It is to be noted that while there are reports and rumours of their wedding, the duo has not confirmed it publicly.
Are Mrunal and Dhanush dating?
For a while now there are rumours that Dhanush and Mrunal are in a relationship. The gossip around their relationship started in August 2025, when the duo was first spotted at the premiere of Son Of Sardaar 2, where Mrinal was the female lead. And prior to that, Mrunal was seen during the wrap party of Dhanush starrer Tere Ishq Mein. Mrinal even follows Dhanush’s sisters, Dr Karthika Karthik and Vimala Geetha on social media.
In a previous media report on a news channel, it was confirmed by a source that, “Yes, it’s true that they are dating. But it’s too new and they’ve no plans of making their relationship official before the public or the media. At the same time, they’re unfazed about going out and about and being spotted. Friends are truly rooting for them as they’re quite similar and compatible when it comes to their values, choices and thoughts.” However, Mrinal has spoken on this rumour, she said that they are “just a good friend”.
Dhanush who was earlier married to Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth for 18 years, separated in 2022. Dhanush and Aishwaryaa had met on the set of Kadhal Kondaen in 2003, they have 2 children named Yatra and Linga.
In the Workfront, Dhanush is keeping busy with Kara, and is also finalising some Bollywood movies, meanwhile Mrunal Thakur has many projects slated this year, this includes action-dram Dacoit, Do Deewane Seher Mein, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Pooja Meri Jaan.
