In a thrilling encounter on April 3 at the Chepauk Stadium, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) secured their second consecutive victory in IPL 2026 by defeating the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five wickets. Shreyas Iyer eventually brought up his half-century in 29 balls, showcasing a blend of timing and aggression with four boundaries and three sixes. However, Iyer’s impressive innings came to an end when he was dismissed for 50 runs by Anshul Kamboj, leaving PBKS at 186 for four in the 17th over. With the finish line in sight, PBKS crossed the 200-run mark, finishing at 210 for five in 18.4 overs, with Shashank Singh and Marcus Stoinis remaining unbeaten on 14 and 9, respectively.
