A 45-year-old man, Rajkishore Dubey, was discovered deceased in Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh, following his recent release from a seven-year prison sentence for attempted murder. Upon investigation, police found two .315 bore cartridges near the scene. Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar, alongside Chhibramau Circle Officer Mayank Mishra and Kotwali Station House Officer Kapil Dubey, arrived promptly after receiving news of the incident. A forensic team was also summoned to gather fingerprints and other relevant evidence.

Dubey hailed from Merapur village in the adjacent Mainpuri district and had been residing with his sister in Brahman Nagla prior to his death.
