The CSR Journal Magazine

Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has inaugurated a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening rural development in Chittoor district. These projects, focusing on healthcare, sanitation, and women’s empowerment, will be undertaken under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB).

The inauguration took place at a function held in the Palasamudram mandal headquarters within the Gangadhara Nellore Assembly constituency of Chittoor district. Minister Yadav reiterated the government’s commitment to providing accessible healthcare for all. As part of the event, he inaugurated upgraded facilities at five primary health centres (PHCs). These PHCs now feature modern surgical and emergency treatment infrastructure, enhancing healthcare services in rural areas.

In addition to health infrastructure, the Minister formally launched new sanitation units at the PHCs and government schools, addressing vital hygiene needs. Minister Yadav also emphasised the significance of women-led development. He distributed sewing machines to self-help groups (SHGs) and called for a widespread campaign involving digital, financial, and hygiene literacy training for rural women to empower them further.

Further stressing essential rural needs, the Minister highlighted the importance of clean drinking water units and solar lighting facilities for remote villages. He said, “These CSR initiatives at the village level truly mirror the commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.”

Minister Yadav added that the State government remains dedicated to supporting such initiatives. He underscored the importance of building strong community partnerships aimed at holistic transformation of rural infrastructure and improving the overall quality of life in these areas.

Through these CSR projects, Minister Satya Kumar Yadav aims to foster inclusive growth by leveraging public-private collaborations. These efforts are expected to create lasting positive impact on health, sanitation, livelihoods, and women’s empowerment in Chittoor’s rural communities.
