Gurugram Teacher Reported for Alleged Molestation of Class 9 Students

The CSR Journal Magazine

A case has been initiated following accusations from several Class 9 students at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Jacobpura. The students have claimed that a teacher allegedly engaged in acts of molestation and made inappropriate comments towards them. Authorities confirmed these allegations on May 9, 2026, and a formal police investigation has been launched.

The Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has taken notice of the situation and has mandated the school principal to appear before the commission on May 14. This action indicates the seriousness with which the authorities are treating the allegations, underlining the commitment to ensuring the protection of child rights.

Reportedly, the representatives from the police department are actively engaging with the students involved as part of the ongoing investigation. They plan to counsel the girls through the Child Welfare Committee before recording their statements in front of a judicial officer. This approach is aimed at guaranteeing that the testimony collected is accurate and properly documented for further action.

Teacher Transferred Amid Investigation

A senior official from the education department announced that the teacher accused of these allegations has been temporarily transferred from the school to the block education office. Furthermore, the teacher has been prohibited from entering the school premises while the investigation is ongoing. This measure is in place to ensure a safe environment for the students during the inquiry.

According to the official, the teacher will be required to carry out duties from the block education office until the conclusion of the investigation. This decision highlights the education department’s intent to prioritise the welfare of students amidst serious accusations and to maintain the integrity of the investigation.

In conjunction with the administrative actions, a first information report (FIR) has been registered at the local city police station, marking the formal initiation of the legal process. Law enforcement authorities have confirmed that the investigation is currently underway, with efforts focused on gathering comprehensive evidence pertaining to the claims made by the students.

Further Actions Anticipated

The ongoing investigation is expected to unfold over the coming weeks. As part of the process, the police will collect evidence and testimonies to ascertain the facts surrounding the allegations. The outcomes will determine the next steps, including possible legal action against the accused if the evidence substantiates the claims of the students.

Authorities recognise the importance of addressing such serious allegations promptly and efficiently, particularly in an educational setting where the safety and wellbeing of students are of utmost concern. The enforcement of appropriate measures during this time will serve to uphold the standards of trust and protect the rights of the students involved.

As the situation develops, it will be crucial for both the educational institution and the investigating authorities to maintain transparency and communication with the affected students and their families. These actions will reflect a commitment to safeguarding child rights and ensuring that justice is served in accordance with the law.
