Vora Farsan for delicious Gujarati Savouries

Vora Farsan was born very recently during the COVID-19 lockdown. The Ghatkopar based Vora family came up with the business idea when they realized that their sources of income had all stopped during the lockdown. Lalit Vora, who had 25 years of experience of working in Farsan business came up with the idea of making and selling Farsan from home.
Gathering the seed capital from his daughter and a few friends, Vora with support of his wife and daughters started preparing Farsan on order. His daughters share the menu of Vora Farsan to their contacts on Whatsapp helping him get more orders.

Brownie’s Dust for Tasty Homemade Brownies and Cakes

Brownie’s Dust is a homemade micro business started by Jayshree Thakker and her daughter Janvi. Jayshree, who was a baking enthusiast since long was always complimented on her brownies for its amazing and consistent taste and texture. Her daughter who is a photographer encouraged her to make brownies professionally and sell them. She set up an Instagram page under the name ‘Brownie’s Dust’ and started posting appealing pictures of her mother’s famous brownies.

Megha’s Kitchen for Diwali Sweets and Mouth Fresheners

Megha Mehta was a working professional up until a year ago. However, with increasing responsibilities of family, she chose to give up her job to give undivided attention to her son and the household. Not one to stay dependent, she turned her hobby of cooking into a small scale business by selling ‘Pan Balls’ to start with. Eventually, she began cooking many more dishes and started selling tiffins.

Megha now a pro at cooking various dishes, has come up with a special menu of Indian sweets for Diwali. In addition to this, she also prepares about 20 types of mouth-fresheners or “Mukhwas” which are just perfect to serve the guests that may visit during Diwali.
