Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Lucknow is undergoing a major transformation aimed at giving the city global recognition. Two landmark projects that is the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal and the International Exhibition and Convention Center are rapidly taking shape. Both are poised to redefine the cultural and economic landscape of the capital and Uttar Pradesh as a whole.
The Rashtriya Prerna Sthal
Furthermore, the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal, dedicated to the nation’s rich historical and cultural legacy, is more than 90% complete. Built in the shape of a lotus under the Basant Kunj project, this inspirational site is being developed by the Department of Housing and Urban Planning.
It will feature approximately 63-foot-tall statues of national icons such as Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Deendayal Upadhyay, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Key elements such as the boundary wall, rally ground, stage, and open-air theater are also nearing completion.
Final touches pending
Final touches, including museum curation, artistic installations, landscaping, and horticulture, are in progress. Once completed, the site will be opened to the public as a center of inspiration. The sthal will exhibit the freedom movement, cultural values, and national pride. Officials believe it will also significantly boost tourism and economic development in Lucknow.
Other projects underway
In addition to this, the International Exhibition and Convention Center construction is progressing swiftly. Spanning 32.5 acres, the center aims to establish Lucknow as a preferred destination for international trade, business events, and cultural exchange. The first instalment of Rs 250 crore has been released, and the project is targeted for completion within two years.
According to reports the center will have world-class infrastructure to host large-scale exhibitions, trade fairs, global conferences, and cultural events. It is expected to attract substantial investment, generate employment opportunities. The project will also contribute significantly to CM Yogi’s vision of building a $1 trillion economy in Uttar Pradesh.
These ambitious projects reflect the state government’s commitment to positioning Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh on the global map while fostering economic growth and cultural pride.
