Now Book UPSRTC Bus Tickets from Home: Yogi Govt Expands Digital Transport Services in Uttar Pradesh

The CSR Journal Magazine

MoU signed between CSC and UPSRTC to offer digital access to 45 faceless services and online bus bookings. In a major step towards enhancing digital governance and citizen convenience, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has partnered with Common Service Centres (CSCs) to provide key transport services directly to citizens from the comfort of their homes.

Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) and CSC, digital bus ticket booking and 45 other faceless transport services will now be available across the state.

Bus Ticket Booking for 14,000 Buses Goes Digital

The agreement will enable passengers to book tickets online for over 14,000 buses operated by UPSRTC. This move eliminates the need for standing in long queues at bus stations and brings public transport closer to rural and remote areas through more than 1.5 lakh CSCs functioning across Uttar Pradesh.

The initiative is part of the state government’s broader goal to simplify and digitize public services under the banner of Digital UP. This partnership will not only improve accessibility but also enhance transparency and efficiency in the transport sector.

45 Faceless Transport Services Now at Your Fingertips

In addition to ticket booking, the MoU brings 45 transport department services under the CSC network. These include:

  1. Driving license applications

  2. Vehicle registration certificates (RCs)

  3. Tax payments

  4. Permits and other regulatory services

All services will be available at minimal cost through CSCs, ensuring convenience and digital inclusion, particularly for rural populations.

Commitment to Good Governance and Ease of Travel

Speaking on the occasion, Masoom Ali Sarwar, Managing Director of UPSRTC, highlighted the government’s commitment to providing easy and affordable access to essential services. “This partnership with CSC is a big leap in providing digital transport services to people. Citizens will now be able to access these services at their doorstep,” he said.

This initiative reinforces the state’s commitment to good governance and e-governance, aligning with the larger vision of creating a more connected, transparent, and efficient public service delivery system.
