Hyundai launches CSR projects for Maharashtra focused on health, sanitation and art
Hyundai Motor India Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited launched three CSR projects in Mumbai on Thursday. The initiatives focusing on art, health, and sanitation which are specific to Maharashtra, were launched at The Bombay Art Society in Bandra.
The CSR initiatives include installation of 100 water RO systems in 100 schools of Gadchiroli district to ensure safe drinking water, establishment of 5 Telemedicine Clinics and deployment of 2 Mobile Medical Vans under the Sparsh Sanjeevani project and launch of the third season of Art for Hope, Hyundai’s flagship CSR programme.
The initiatives were inaugurated by Gopala Krishnan CS, Chief Manufacturing Officer, Hyundai Motor India, Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head – Corporate Affairs, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. and other esteemed dignitaries from the car manufacturer company.
Talking about the CSR projects, Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head – Corporate Affairs, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. shared, “The dedicated initiatives that we’ve launched here in Maharashtra are part of HMIF’s broader strategy to contribute meaningfully to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and align with Hyundai Motor Company’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity.’ We strongly believe inclusive societal growth is not just about the good we do in one place, at one instance, with one person, it is a continuous journey of working tirelessly towards sowing Seeds of Good in Bharat, one state, one district at a time.”

The projects
Through the flagship ‘Art for Hope’ initiative, HMIF facilitated 10 artists from across the country with financial grants for virtual upskilling in soft skills, art management, and personal branding. As part of the ‘Sparsh Sanjeevani’ programme, 5 telemedicine clinics in Talegaon, and 2 mobile medical vans for Nagpur and Aurangabad districts were inaugurated. Under the ‘H₂OPE’ project, 100 water RO systems were inaugurated which are expected to benefit over 35,000 students across schools in Gadchiroli district.

Art for Hope – Season 3
Art for Hope, now in its third season, is a flagship program under HMIF’s inclusive arts initiative. The ongoing 2-day exhibition at Bombay Art Society showcases the artworks of 10 specially-abled artists who received grants under this initiative. The 10 artists from Chennai, Mumbai, Ghaziabad, Bengaluru, and Noida underwent virtual upskilling training on soft skills, art management and personal branding, along with their caregivers. The initiative aims to empower artists by providing sustainable, inclusive, and unbiased income opportunities, in line with the Samarth initiative by Hyundai.
Telemedicine Clinics and Mobile Medical Vans
In an attempt to boost healthcare access especially in remote areas, Hyundai Motor India Foundation announced that it has set up 5 telemedicine clinics in underserved areas of Maharashtra, benefiting people in Pait, Kadus, Wada, Navalak, Umbare, and Sudumbare villages in the district of Talegaon. These clinics will provide essential medical consultations and healthcare services remotely, bridging the gap between healthcare providers and patients in remote regions. With this addition, the foundation will operate 40 telemedicine units across India, as per their announcement.
On Thursday two customized mobile medical vans were flagged off equipped with essential medical facilities to serve remote and underprivileged areas of Nagpur and Aurangabad, offering diagnostics and treatment directly to those in need.
