MMRDA’s Urban Transformation Summit-Maharashtra tastes success
Mumbai, India: The Urban Transformation Summit was a complete success on every front, accomplishing the conclave of eminent personalities that are celebrated across the nation for their distinct contributions. The Urban Transformation Summit-Maharashtra was organized by MMRDA with the goal of addressing the diverse challenges in the aspect of urban development.
The esteemed panellists generously shared their expertise and unique perspectives in the dedicated discussions of their plenary sessions. Their innovative inputs and recommendations will be fundamental to the MMRDA’s strategic actions for the implementation of sustainable urban development in the future.

The summit was divided into five plenary sessions, each with its own unique set of focus areas and esteemed panellists who are key decision-makers, industry partners, and essential players in various sectors. The concluding session ended the summit with the release of the video film titled “Rebooting Mumbai, Reshaping MMR.” The video film emphasized the vision of MMRDA in redefining the infrastructure of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with keen attention to the well-being of the citizens. The multi-dimensional approach of the summit and the insightful opinions of eminent personalities have reinforced the glorious future of the MMR.
Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, IAS, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA said “The developments that have been achieved over the years speak volumes about the prowess of MMRDA in redefining the infrastructure of the MMR. MMRDA’s plan for the development of the 337 km network for Metro Services will earn us the immense pride of establishing the largest metro network in the world upon its completion. Our innovative approaches continue to elevate connectivity between the five districts of the MMR, whereas the MTHL will soon become the longest sea bridge in India interlinking two major cities. Moreover, the seven growth centres offer a promising new direction for the decongestion of traffic in the MMR, in addition to gifting the development of new sub-urban regions.
