CSR Foundation partners with the Haryana Government to support the Animal Ambulance Service being launched by the Haryana State CSR Trust (HSCSRT) in Gurugram
In a significant step for animal welfare, DLF Foundation, the CSR arm of the DLF Group today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Haryana State CSR Trust (HSCSRT) to support the launch of the animal ambulance service in Gurugram. The MoU was signed between Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram-cum-Joint Secretary, HSCSRT, and Ms. Gayatri Paul, CEO of DLF Foundation. This initiative, undertaken in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, Government of Haryana, is a significant step towards providing timely medical aid and emergency evacuation of stray animals in distress to nearby hospitals.
It will be the first-of-its-kind animal ambulance initiative by the government of Haryana, supported by the DLF Foundation. The ambulance service will be entirely free of cost and will benefit stray animals suffering from injuries and accidents. Stationed at the Office of the Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry Dept., Rajiv Chowk Gurugram, the animal ambulance will serve the entire district of Gurugram as well as other parts of Haryana.

Ms. Gayatri Paul, CEO of DLF Foundation, shared “DLF Foundation has been promoting animal welfare and has undertaken numerous initiatives in this space. We support Haryana Government in this initiative for stray animals and have contributed for an Animal Ambulance Van. We hope that this step will enable the Government to make a positive impact through prompt medical care in case of accidents and injuries. I believe this will be a big relief for animal lovers in Gurugram.”
Stray animals including dogs, cows etc. are often victims of accidents and injuries in both urban and rural areas. Immediate medical care not only alleviates their suffering but also significantly enhances their chances of survival and recovery. The service can be availed by the public through the emergency number 112. The state government’s office will respond to such requests.
