Herbalife Nutrition India and GEM Enviro team up for plastic waste recycling

Bengaluru, Karnataka: Herbalife Nutrition India, a premium global nutrition company has partnered with GEM Enviro, a Producer Responsibility Organization to facilitate the recycling of all kinds of plastic waste. As a part of this partnership, collection centres are launched across the country in metros like Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, and Hyderabad where used Herbalife canisters made of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) are collected to reduce the carbon footprints.
Herbalife nutrition has already recycled 4523 metric tons (MT) of plastic in the last twenty-four months thus strengthening its commitment to environment sustainability. Herbalife Nutrition is also in plans to incorporate polyethylene terephthalate (PET) materials, in their apparel that are used by their distributors, employees, and renowned athletes globally to reduce the carbon impression.
Additionally, Herbalife Nutrition is also focusing its efforts on improving communities by aligning with the targets defined by the UNSDGs, specifically Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 17 (Partnership’s for the Goals).
