The ODOP Marketing Development Assistance (MDA) Scheme in Uttar Pradesh aims to support artisans by enabling their participation in fairs and exhibitions. In these cases, financial assistance can cover 75 per cent of the total expenditure, up to Rs 75 lakh, provided there are at least 20 participating units. This condition ensures that the assistance drives collective participation, enhancing visibility in international markets.

Moreover, the scheme allocates support for promotional activities aimed at enhancing the international presence of Uttar Pradesh’s products. This covers up to Rs 1 crore, offering 75 per cent reimbursement for actual expenditures related to organising craft festivals, workshops, and buyer-seller meetings. This initiative is focused on expanding the market reach of One District, One Product (ODOP) goods beyond state boundaries, fostering brand development on an international scale.

By facilitating these opportunities, the scheme seeks to bridge the gap faced by local artisans in accessing larger, more lucrative markets. The financial assistance serves the dual purpose of reducing costs and encouraging collaboration among producers.

Eligibility and Application Process

The ODOP MDA Scheme is accessible to artisans, entrepreneurs, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in producing ODOP-related products across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Participants can seek financial support for both domestic and international exhibitions, ensuring that assistance is available to a wide array of producers, including those with fewer resources.

To apply for assistance, individuals must submit several essential documents. These include identity proof such as an Aadhaar Card or Voter ID, age verification, and, where applicable, caste and disability certificates. Applications are to be submitted via the DI UP portal at diupmsme.upsdc.gov.in, streamlining the process for potential participants.
