Leading Congress figure Sonia Gandhi remains in stable condition while receiving care at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, as reported by medical professionals on Wednesday. The prominent politician was admitted to the facility in New Delhi on Tuesday evening after experiencing health issues attributed to changes in the weather.

The hospital has initiated several tests to investigate the possibility of an infection. Medical staff have stated that antibiotics have been administered as part of her ongoing treatment. Hospital Chairman Dr. Ajay Swaroop provided an update, confirming that Gandhi was admitted at 10:22 PM and that her condition is being closely monitored by a team of doctors.

Previous Health Issues

This is not Sonia Gandhi’s first hospitalization for health-related concerns. Last June, she was admitted due to stomach ailments and remained under observation within the gastroenterology department of the hospital. Just prior to that, on June 7, she also received treatment at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
