Online Jihad! Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) conducting training classes for 5,000 women

The CSR Journal Magazine

Indian Army broke the spine of terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) during Operation Sindoor conducted in May this year, where 11 members of the family of terrorist leader Masood Azhar died. Now Jaish is trying to regain strength after coping with that blow. Recently, they announced the creation of a women’s brigade for the first time in the history of the organisation. Now it has been learned that 5000 women have already joined that brigade!

Security forces suspect that more than 5000 women have been recruited in the new women’s wing of Jaish-e-Mohammed, which has been named “Jamaat-ul-Mominat”. Currently, these women are undergoing radical education. Masood Azhar has posted about the recruitment of this wing on social media. aish’s Women Brigade will be led by Sadiya Azhar, the sister of Masood Azhar whose husband Yusuf Azhar was killed in Operation Sindoor on May 7 when Indian forces struck JeM’s headquarters.

Azhar wrote in his post, “By the grace of Allah, more than 5,000 women have joined in a few weeks. Many sisters said that their mindset has changed after the recruitment and they have understood the purpose of life. District units will be formed, there will be a Muntazima (manager) in each district and work will be distributed.”

Masood Azhar had announced the formation of the women’s wing of Jaish ‘Jamaat-ul-Mominat’ on October 8. Then on October 19, the organisation organised a program called ‘Dukhtaran-e-Islam’ to recruit women members for the new unit in Rawalakot of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Now, Masood’s organisation has started giving online jihad lessons in exchange for a ‘donation’ of Rs 500. As per Masood’s announcement, ‘Jamaat-ul-Mominat’ is providing online training to women. These online classes are 40 minutes long and each participant has to pay Rs 500.

‘Jamaat-ul-Mominat’ involved in Delhi car blast

‘Jamaat-ul-Mominat’ made headlines after the car blast in Delhi last month which killed 13 people and injured many. Dr. Shaheen Saeed, was arrested after a large quantity of explosives was recovered from Faridabad near Delhi. Investigators have found that she was associated with the terrorist wing of Jaish.

In his previous message, Masood had outlined the training of the women’s brigade of Jaish, among other things. He said that the women’s brigade will also be trained like the men’s brigade of Jaish, as per the Jaish chief. According to Masood, male militants undergo a 15-day ‘Daura-e-Tarbiat’ training. The term ‘Daura-e-Tarbiat’ (sometimes transliterated as ‘Dora-e-Tarbiat’ or ‘Daura-e-Tarbiyat’) refers to a 15-day indoctrination and training course for male recruits of the Pakistan-based terror organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The name translates roughly to “Training Session” or “Education Course” in Urdu and Arabic.

Strict rules of women members of Jamaat-ul-Mominat

Similarly, women joining Jamaat-ul-Mominat will also undergo a training called ‘Daura-e-Taskiya’. If they pass the first phase, then the second phase of training, Daura-Ayat-ul-Nisha, will begin. This training will be held at Markaz Usman-o-Ali in Bahawalpur. Although they have changed their approach and have included women in the organisation, Jaish is imposing strict rules on them. Masood said that those who join the women’s brigade will not be able to contact any man other than their husbands or family members on the phone or in any other way.
