A significant fire incident occurred at the Globsyn Crystal Tower located in Salt Lake, Kolkata, on February 13. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene to control the flames. Reports indicate that all personnel inside the building were safely evacuated during the crisis.
According to Prasun Basu, an employee at the tower, the alarm was raised soon after the fire ignited. He noted that the blaze reportedly originated from a restaurant situated on the lower floors of the structure, which houses multiple offices alongside dining establishments.
Recent Fire Incident in Anandapur Area
This occurrence follows a recent fire that took place on January 30 at a manufacturing unit in the Anandapur region of Kolkata. Fire department officials have confirmed that the situation has since been managed. Pankaj Chowdhury, a Fire Station Officer, stated that the Kolkata Municipal Corporation is actively working to clear the debris from the affected site. “The fire has been controlled. Personnel from the KMC are using gas cutters to dismantle the remnants of the structure,” Chowdhury provided in a statement on Thursday.
