Dhurandhar: The Revenge, featuring Ranveer Singh, has generated significant excitement at the box office. The film is poised to set impressive records that may continue throughout its extended opening weekend. Despite its lengthy runtime, audience interest remains high, as evidenced by robust ticket sales. As of the early hours of March 18, the film has reportedly garnered an impressive Rs 47.91 crore from its premiere shows alone. Advance bookings for its first full day of release on March 19 have also shown strong performance, with more than seven lakh tickets sold across 17,000 shows, amounting to approximately Rs 33.60 crore. The forecasts predict that including overseas pre-sales, the film’s total gross could reach Rs 156.51 crore ahead of its opening weekend.

High Expectations for Opening Day Collections

Dhurandhar: The Revenge aims for an opening day collection estimated between Rs 100 and 150 crore nett, excluding the premiere shows. When including the Rs 50 crore from preview viewings, the total opening in India could reach around Rs 200 crore. Industry experts suggest that the extended weekend gross might surpass Rs 500 crore, potentially rewriting existing box office benchmarks.

Performance in Southern Markets

According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the film is also set to achieve commendable results in the Southern markets. He forecasts that the gross collection for premiere and opening day in these regions could reach around Rs 30 crore. Over the subsequent four days, the film is projected to surpass Rs 100 crore in gross collections from the South. The Karnataka market is particularly expected to drive significant earnings, especially considering the competition with the Telugu release Ustaad Bhagat Singh, featuring Pawan Kalyan.

Advance Booking Records Highlight Popular Demand

As reported, the advance bookings for the film in Southern markets have already reached Rs 7.04 crore on the opening day, marking it as a leader among competing regional releases. Collections include Rs 1.19 crore from Kerala, Rs 2.05 crore from Tamil Nadu, and Rs 2.9 crore from Telangana. The strategic planning that included launching premiere shows alongside trailer releases and targeting the Eid holiday window is credited for the film’s strong pre-release audience interest.
