CSR: Water ATM inaugurated at Kolhapur Mahalaxmi Temple during Navratri

Kolhapur, India: AquaKraft announced the launch of SWACHH-INN, a livelihood generation innovation at Mahalaxmi Temple, Kolhapur, Maharashtra this week. SWACHH INN is a combination of a Water ATM, Hand wash and Pantry aimed at providing Healthy Water and healthy Food at the most accessible prices to the common man. SWACHH INN has been sponsored by RBL Bank under their CSR Initiatives.
SWACHH INN will be operated and managed by Women Self Help Groups registered under the UMED program of the National Rural Livelihood Mission. The model revolves around vending clean drinking water, tea, coffee, and food cooked at the pantry thereby generating livelihood and enabling micro-entrepreneurship.
SWACHH INN was launched by Hon’ble Shri Hasan Mushrif ji – Minister for Medical Education, Government of Maharashtra & Guardian Minister Kolhapur District in the presence of Rahul Rekhawar IAS – Collector Kolhapur, Mahendra Pandit IPS – Superintendent of Police, Kolhapur, K Manjulekshmi IAS– Commissioner Kolhapur Municipal Corporation, Dr. Subramanya Kusnur – Founder Chairman & CEO, AquaKraft Group Ventures, Adil Faras amongst other dignitaries.
The launch was privileged with the grace of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje Maharaj, the descendant of Shivaji Maharaj, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged to spread it across Maharashtra, especially in tourist sites like the Raigad Fort.
More than 300 devotees and pilgrims enjoyed clean drinking water from SWACHH INN after the launch strongly vindicating the initiative.

Our objective is to develop and implement operator-friendly units for easy operations and management leading to sustainability.
