CSR News: De-addiction and digital wellness awareness in Karnataka through CSR of BEML

Reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility and community well-being, BEML Limited has extended support to the cause of de-addiction and digital wellness awareness in Karnataka by donating a 16-seater mobile outreach vehicle to the Rajyoga Education & Research Foundation (RERF) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

The vehicle will be deployed by RERF to conduct outreach activities aligned with the Government of India’s flagship campaign — Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. It will be instrumental in reaching underserved and remote areas across Karnataka, enabling awareness drives, educational sessions, and digital wellness programmes focused on students, youth, and women.

The vehicle was formally handed over by BEML Director (Finance) Anil Jerath, and Director (HR) Debi Prasad Satpathy in the presence of senior officials from both BEML and RERF. The initiative marks a significant step in BEML’s ongoing efforts to promote public health and create a socially responsible ecosystem.

Speaking on the occasion, BEML officials reiterated the organisation’s commitment to fostering a healthier and more informed society. The collaboration with RERF aims to not only combat substance abuse but also promote mental and digital well-being, particularly among vulnerable sections of the population.

This CSR initiative by BEML aligns with the broader national objective of creating a Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-Free India) and highlights the crucial role that Public Sector Enterprises play in advancing inclusive and sustainable development.
