AI-enabled chatbot ‘Just Ask’ to educate youths on social and sexual health issues in Madhya Pradesh
Government of Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with international non-profit organisation United Nations Population Fund India (UNFPA) has come up with an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven chatbot to share accurate information on social issues and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) among teenagers and young adults. The chatbot has been named ‘Just Ask’ or ‘Khulke Poochho’.
The multi-lingual digital engagement platform was inaugurated by the state’s Health Minister Prabhuram Choudhary and UNFPA India Representative Andrea M Wojnar on Monday in Bhopal.

Anyone seeking relevant information can ask questions to ‘Just Ask’ on topics related to growing up, bodily changes, menstruation, reproductive health, pregnancy and family planning, gender identity, sexual orientation and any other issue related to sexual and reproductive health and rights. Information will be provided in an interactive manner.

The free of cost chatbot will engage the user in conversations, providing them with reliable information instantly. AI-based models Dhruv and Drishti will be interacting with the users, sharing necessary information in a simple and relatable way. The platform is designed in such a way so that it is safe, personalised and empathetic.

Talking about the chatbot at the launch, Prabhuram Chaudhry, Minister of Public Health, Government of Madhya Pradesh expressed, “The #JustAsk Chatbot is a step in the right direction for youth health. With just a phone, many important questions can be asked and solutions provided.”
