CSR arm of Wave Group to kick off PCF Cup Cricket Season 3

The CSR arm of the Wave Group called Ponty Chadha Foundation (PCF) is all set to kick off the third season of the PCF Cup tournament (Corporate Cricket Edition) from 6th March, 2021 in partnership with Citiskape Mediacom. It is an eight-week long tournament culminating on 25th April, 2021.
The glittering trophy of the tournament was unveiled at The Park hotel, New Delhi in the eminent presence of Chief Guest Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, Director and the Deputy Advisor, Energy & International Cooperation, NITI Aayog, Government of India and Guest of Honour – Hariom Kaushik, Vice President, Haryana Olympic Association.
The third edition of the PCF Cup will be featuring 16 participating teams, each representing different corporate giants. These include Aaj Tak, Dabur, Maruti Suzuki, KK Modi Group, HDFC Bank, SBI Card, TEVA, WAVE, The Statesman, Properazzi Realty Pvt Ltd, Resource Logistics, Transsion India Ltd, Celebi India, P&P, TMM magazine, and HCL.
Manpreet Singh Chadha, Chairman, Wave Group, said, “We are delighted to be hosting another season of the PCF Cup. This tournament provides a remarkable platform to the cricketing talent in the corporate world to enjoy the sports that they love, while also fostering a collaborative environment amongst fellow professionals.”
The PCF Cup is one of the most impassioned initiatives of the Ponty Chadha Foundation in association with Citiskape Mediacom, which provides a unique platform to avid cricketers and sports enthusiasts from the corporate world to showcase their talent. The PCF Cup Cricket Season III will be conducted in accordance with the playing conditions similar to a standard T20 tournament in India.
Elaborating on the tournament, H.S. Kandhari, Director, Wave Estate, said, “Pandemic-induced stress has taken its toll on both our physical and mental well-being, therefore, focus on our health and active lifestyle had taken a backseat. This tournament has been timed to bring back the focus on physical fitness and re-energise our social bubble with sports enthusiasts.”
