UP Man Stripped, Brutally Assaulted, Urinated on Face, Made to Sit on Hot Pan by Girlfriend’s Family

The CSR Journal Magazine

A horrifying case of mob violence has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district, where a young man was stripped, beaten, shaved, and urinated on after visiting a woman he was allegedly in a relationship with. The assault occurred on September 24 in the Mohammadi Kotwali area and came to light after disturbing videos of the incident went viral.

Ambushed After Late-Night Visit

The victim, Raju Yadav, claimed he had a romantic relationship with a woman from a nearby village. Acting on her phone call, he visited her house around 12 AM. However, he was allegedly ambushed by the woman’s family members who accused him of theft.

They shaved his head, tied him to a tree, and assaulted him with iron rods, punches, and kicks. The assailants then forced him to sit on a hot griddle, inflicting serious burn injuries. The abuse escalated further when one person urinated on his face while he lay semi-conscious.

Shocking Videos Spark Outrage

Two graphic videos of the incident surfaced on social media one 9 seconds long and another 43 seconds, showing the nude victim being dragged through fields by a group of men, some armed with sticks. The videos have triggered widespread outrage and calls for strict action.

Police Action and Cross-Complaints

Following a complaint from Raju Yadav, police registered a case against five individuals from the woman’s family: Satyendra Yadav, Puneet Yadav, Jaswinder, Jitendra, and Sumit Yadav. So far, three accused have been arrested, and a search is underway for the remaining two.

Meanwhile, a woman from the girl’s family filed a counter-complaint alleging that four men, Rajkishore, Rajkumar, Ashutosh, and Nikhil, forcibly entered her home on the same night and assaulted her with sticks. Both cases are now under investigation, being led by Sub-Inspector Himanshu Anand Singh.

Police Statement

Kotwal Umesh Chandra Chaurasia confirmed that cross-FIRs have been registered and further investigation is ongoing. “Complaints have been received from both sides in the matter. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.”
