Former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly experienced a road accident while driving on the Durgapur Expressway in West Bengal. At Dantanpur a large truck performed a risky overtake of Ganguly’s vehicle causing the driver to brake hard. The abrupt braking from Ganguly’s driver triggered the collision that resulted in one vehicle hitting his vehicle. The accident resulted in no injuries to anyone but caused minor damage to two vehicles in Ganguly’s convoy.
Ganguly Continued With Scheduled Event

At Burdwan University he carried out his scheduled appearance to meet students and dignitaries who attended the event. The audience watched Ganguly deliver his remarks shortly after he appeared on stage showing his usual leadership skills. “Arriving in Burdwan leaves me absolutely delighted. The Burdwan Sports Association has extended an invitation to me for a long time which I happily accept through my presence today,” he said. According to Ganguly in his address, “The district boasts numerous accomplished cricket players so we must back future promising talents“.
Previously his daughter Sana Ganguly had her car hit by a bus on Kolkata’s Diamond Harbour Road during January. Both Sana and her car sustained minimal damage during the accident. The bus driver abandoned the bus but police arrested him after Sana’s car driver chased him down.
