Six Fatalities After Van Collides with Double-Decker Bus in Hathras, UP

In a tragic incident in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, six individuals lost their lives following a collision between a van and a double-decker bus early on Tuesday. The accident occurred around 4:15 am near the 141 milestone on the Yamuna Expressway, as reported by local authorities.

The vehicle involved in the accident was an Eeco van, which was en route from Delhi to Dholpur in Rajasthan. The double-decker bus was traveling from Noida to Gorakhpur. According to Additional Superintendent of Police Ramanand Kushwaha, thirteen people were inside the van at the time of the incident.

Following the collision, all passengers in the Eeco were rescued and transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The police confirmed that during the course of treatment, six of the injured were declared dead by medical personnel. Fortunately, the driver of the van emerged from the accident without injuries.

Authorities have stated that immediate actions are being taken in response to this tragic event, and further details are anticipated as the investigation unfolds. Emergency response teams acted promptly to assist the victims, and the remaining injured individuals are continuing to receive medical care.
