Godrej Locks celebrates ‘Home Safety Day’ on 15th November every year. This year was also not an exception. To mark this event, the brand announced a ‘Live Safe, Life Free’ Program under which they will run a ‘Home Safety Awareness Campaign’ across 52 locations in the ‘10 most vulnerable Indian cities’ over 52 weeks. These cities are Mumbai, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Ahmedabad and Patna.
The year 2021 reported about 17 % increase in cases of theft, robbery and burglary within residential premises as compared to 2020, as per data from National Crime Records Bureau. This is why the ‘Home Safety Awareness Campaign’ is relevant.
Do you reside in any of the above cities? Are you safe at your home? How would you know whether your home or office entrance has adequate security? What is the Home Safety Awareness Campaign all about?
Mr Shyam Motwani, Business Head, Godrej Locks opens up on their CSR initiative in an exclusive video interaction with The CSR Journal.
How reliable are digital locks?
Responding to this, Mr Motwani shared, “The locks market in India is growing in terms of technology and style, as a transition from high-end mechanical locks to digital locks has been seen among consumers. Moreover, keyless and digital safety solutions are becoming a preferred choice with consumers and architects. Godrej Locks, a legacy brand in the locking solution have been manufacturing and marketing various digital locks which cater to the needs of the customers. These digital locks can be accessed with a password, RFID card, and a 4 or 6-digit passcode on the keypad.”
What to do if I forget the digital lock password while entering my home? What if it does not recognise my fingerprint? Mr Motwani addresses all our anxieties with a smile. Watch the full video below to learn how the digital lock actually works!
