Pune, Maharashtra: Dr. Simon Grant, the physician and trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, announced that Sharad Pawar, president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has shown significant improvement in his health. Following treatment for an acute condition, Pawar has fully recovered, leading to plans for his discharge from the facility scheduled for tomorrow.
The official statement from Ruby Hall Clinic confirmed that his vital signs are stable, all laboratory results are normal, and any chest congestion he experienced has completely resolved. For the past 48 hours, Pawar has remained clinically stable and is noted to be active and comfortable, with no lingering health concerns. He has been advised to take a brief period of rest before gradually returning to his usual activities.
Details of Admission and Treatment
Pawar was admitted to the Ruby Hall Clinic on February 9 due to health complications associated with chest congestion. His daughter, Supriya Sule, shared that he would require a five-day course of antibiotics. In a message posted on X, she reassured the public that apart from the chest congestion, all other vital parameters were within normal limits. Sule expressed her gratitude for the support and good wishes received during this time, particularly thanking the medical team for their dedicated care.
Family and Party Leaders Provide Updates
On February 13, NCP leader Rohit Pawar provided additional updates regarding Sharad Pawar’s condition, indicating that he is in good health. Rohit confirmed that Sharad Pawar has not been placed in the intensive care unit but is instead located in a private room, where he does not require any additional support. Decisions regarding whether Sharad Pawar will remain in Pune or be transferred to Mumbai will be made after the completion of further medical evaluations.
Visitors Urged to Avoid Hospital
Rohit Pawar also emphasized the importance of minimizing visits to the hospital by party workers, in order to prevent disruption to other patients receiving care. He reassured party members and the public that regular health updates would be provided by him, Supriya Sule, and the medical team. Additionally, he mentioned that Sharad Pawar arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle and that his situation remains stable.
