Around 5 pm on Tuesday, a news flashes on TV channels that the Building Construction Department of Bihar Government has ordered former Chief Minister Rabri Devi to vacate the government bungalow located at 10 Circular Road. After this news came in the media, discussion started as to under whose pressure the government has taken this decision. Has CM Nitish done this at the behest of ally Bharatiya Janata Party or has this order been taken on the basis of the decision regarding which Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav had once gone to Patna High Court.
Regarding which matter did Tejashwi go to Patna High Court?
When the Grand Alliance government was formed in 2015, Tejashwi Yadav was made the Deputy CM in that government. After which he was given a bungalow at 5 Deshratna Marg by the Bihar government to live in. Later, after the change of the Grand Alliance government in 2017, he received a notice to vacate the bungalow. On which Tejashwi Yadav refused to vacate the bungalow and went to Patna High Court against this decision, but the High Court refused to give him relief. Further, while hearing this matter, on 19 February 2019, the High Court not only ordered Tejashwi Yadav to vacate 5 Deshratna Marg, but also took a big decision and ended the facility of providing government bungalow, vehicle, security and staff to the former Chief Ministers. This decision also affected Rabri Devi, but at that time she was the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council, hence 10 Circular Road remained with her.
