She stated, “I would have never imagined in 30-something years that I would be addressing you, the future of our culture, in this iconic chamber where so many prominent figures have spoken.” Chopra Jonas indicated that seeing an auditorium filled with individuals from her community filled her with joy, indicating a significant change since her own youth. Emphasizing her emotional response, she remarked, “It made me want to cry because this is not what my teenage experience looked like. But I’m so happy that you get to have it.”

She encouraged students by stating, “Looking out into the audience today, I only had one thought — you are the India I imagined.” The 43-year-old articulated how the event represented a personal milestone for her, saying, “To witness an auditorium full of students donned in sarees and kurtas at Harvard made my heart swell with pride.” She reiterated her optimism for the future, highlighting the unity and cultural pride among the attendees.

The actor extended her gratitude to the students for their hospitality. She acknowledged her family, referring to her husband, Nick Jonas, and their daughter, Malti Marie, as her “forever Valentines.” Chopra Jonas was accompanied at the event by her close friend and business partner, Anjula Acharia.
