Central Railway, Mumbai Division, will carry out a mega block on its suburban network on Sunday, 28th December 2025 to conduct essential engineering and maintenance work. The block will affect both the Main Line and Harbour Line, with services being suspended or diverted for several hours to ensure infrastructure upkeep and passenger safety.

Main Line: Fast Trains to Run on Slow Lines

On the Main Line, the Matunga–Mulund UP and DOWN fast lines will be blocked from 11:05 AM to 3:45 PM.

DOWN fast line trains departing CSMT from 10:36 AM to 3:10 PM will be diverted onto the DOWN slow line at Matunga. These trains will stop at their regular stations between Matunga and Mulund and are expected to reach their destination 15 minutes late. Trains beyond Thane will be re-diverted to the DOWN fast line at Mulund.

UP fast line trains departing Thane from 11:03 AM to 3:38 PM will be diverted to the UP slow line at Mulund, halting at scheduled stations, and re-diverted onto the UP fast line at Matunga. They will also reach 15 minutes behind schedule.

Harbour Line: Partial Suspension of Services

On the Harbour Line, services between CSMT–Chunabhatti/Bandra (DOWN) from 11:40 AM to 4:40 PM and Chunabhatti/Bandra–CSMT (UP) from 11:10 AM to 4:10 PM will be impacted.
