The Uttar Pradesh government is taking significant measures to enhance the state’s education and youth development programs. The initative is being carried out under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
The goverment is taking a step towards imparting global-level technical skills for Uttar Pradesh’s youth. To achieve the goal the state has signed multipe deals towards skill development.
Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission
The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology, Furthermore it signed with the Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), for technical cooperation. The agreement was formalized at the IIT Roorkee campus in Uttarakhand.
Technical training
As part of this collaboration, youth from the state will gain access to advanced technical training. Along with this innovation-driven learning, research opportunities, and startup support will be made available for the youth.
This will be carried out under the mentorship of experts from IIT Roorkee. This initiative is expected to enhance the employability of the youth. It will also equip them to compete in various sectors effectively at both national and international levels.
The signing of MoU
According to reports, the MoU was signed by Additional Mission Director Priya Singh on behalf of UPSDM. During the signing, authorized representatives from IIT Roorkee were also present. Mission Joint Director Mayank Gangwar was also too a part in the signing.
Mission’s Vision-2025
Several leaders present during the event expressed their thoughts over the initiative. Commenting on the partnership, Additional Mission Director Priya Singh stated that the collaboration aligns with the Mission’s Vision-2025.
This mission emphasises digital technology, joint projects, and skill upgradation. Director Priya also expressed confidence that the agreement would unlock new avenues of opportunity for the youth of Uttar Pradesh.
