Model and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey has released a video addressing the allegations surrounding the death of 28-year-old restaurant owner Shiva Sharma, in which she is named as the primary suspect. In the five-minute video, Dubey claims that she and Sharma had been dating for two months and that he was under significant financial stress, reportedly owing money to various individuals.

Dubey alleges that Sharma had been receiving distressing calls from his creditors and had expressed suicidal thoughts due to his inability to repay his debts. She stated that she could provide screenshots to substantiate her claims. Furthermore, she urged the public to cease their harassment of her, warning that she might take her own life if the alleged torment continued.

In her video, Dubey questioned the rationale behind the accusations against her, stating, “Think why would someone kill someone and throw them from their own apartment.” She also requested that the media refrain from spreading unverified information. Dubey claimed that Sharma’s mother had instigated a confrontation with her driver at the hospital following the incident.

Events Leading Up to the Incident

Dubey recounted the events leading to the tragic incident on October 9, stating that she and Sharma had not communicated for several days prior. She mentioned that on October 7, Sharma had reached out to her driver through a tea vendor while in distress. According to Dubey, she attempted to contact him twice but received no response until he called her around 2 am, requesting to meet.

During their meeting, which took place at Peddler’s Cafe, Dubey noted that Sharma consumed a considerable amount of alcohol before they returned to her residence. She mentioned that her sister, Rashmi, visited her on October 8 to discuss a religious ceremony for Navratri, asserting that Rashmi had no involvement in the case, as she barely knew Sharma.

On the day of Sharma’s death, Dubey described how they prepared tea together before he went to the washroom. She expressed confusion over his actions, stating that he usually left the main gate open but had closed it on that occasion. After a while, she asked her sister to check on him, and it was at that moment that Sharma allegedly jumped from the balcony.

Police Investigation and Legal Proceedings

Following Sharma’s death, which occurred after he fell from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartment in Lucknow, his mother, Ranjana Sharma, filed a First Information Report (FIR) accusing Dubey, her sister Rashmi, and their driver, Adil, among others, of murder. The family alleges that Dubey pushed Sharma from the building, a claim that is currently under investigation.

In response to the allegations, Dubey previously released another video denying any involvement in Sharma’s death, asserting that it was a suicide rather than a murder. She expressed her willingness to cooperate with law enforcement and clarified that her social media connections do not imply personal relationships with those individuals.

Lucknow Police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 for information leading to the arrest of Dubey, her sister Rashmi, and Tanveer Ali, also known as Danish, in connection with the ongoing investigation. The case continues to develop as authorities work to gather more information regarding the circumstances surrounding Sharma’s death.
