Honda Elevate Facelift Bookings Open Now Ahead of October 6 Launch

The CSR Journal Magazine

Honda Cars India has initiated pre-launch bookings for the updated Elevate SUV, scheduled for its India debut on October 6. Customers can reserve the vehicle at authorised Honda dealerships throughout the country by making a payment of Rs 21,000. This launch marks India as the first market worldwide to receive the revamped Honda Elevate.

The facelifted model is introduced just before the festive season, aiming to attract buyers with its new features and design enhancements. While the updated vehicle promises alterations in styling and a refreshed cabin, it is poised to maintain the core mechanical components of the existing SUV.

Exterior and Interior Updates Expected

A teaser image shared by Honda has spotlighted some modifications to the Elevate, particularly at the front. The most prominent change is the inclusion of connected LED daytime running lights, which are complemented by a similar connected lightbar at the rear of the vehicle. The overall shape and dimensions of the SUV remain familiar, suggesting that the facelift is more about refinement than a complete redesign.

Additional alterations expected on the front end include new grille designs and bumper updates. Moreover, the SUV may feature redesigned alloy wheels and adjusted lighting elements, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal.

Internally, the Elevate is expected to receive numerous feature upgrades to make it more appealing within the competitive mid-size SUV market. Potential enhancements could involve improved upholstery and additional cabin features, alongside equipment recently seen in the updated Honda City, such as ventilated front seats. A factory-fitted 360-degree camera is also anticipated, which would replace the current dealer-level accessory solution.

Mechanical Specifications to Remain Consistent

Reports indicate that the mechanical specifications of the Elevate are likely to stay unchanged from the current model. The SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 120 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-step CVT automatic option.

Although the Honda City is available with a strong-hybrid powertrain, there has been no confirmation about whether the Elevate will feature a hybrid system in the facelifted version. As of now, the hybrid powertrain remains absent in the Elevate lineup.

Launched in India in 2023, the Honda Elevate competes in the mid-size SUV segment alongside several rivals, including the Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Nissan Tekto, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Maruti Suzuki Victoris. The revised Elevate is expected to be priced at a premium compared to the existing model, which ranges from Rs 11.90 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
