A shocking incident has come to light from Bihar’s Begusarai area. A minor dispute over a Rs 10 fuel charge escalated into a shocking act of violence. The incident occurred at a petrol pump in Bihar’s Begusarai on Saturday. According to police reports, four individuals arrived at the petrol station and attacked the staff.
The attackers vandalised petrol pump property. Furthermore, they even opened fire following an argument that began over a small billing and meter reading discrepancy.
Argument Over Meter Reading
According to police reports, the incident began when two men on a bike came to refuel . The men allegedly asked for petrol worth Rs 54. However, they soon got into an argument with the staff. The men started claiming that the meter had already started from Rs 10. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, the situation escalated quickly. After a brief verbal confrontation, the duo left but not before threatening the pump staff.
Moments later, the two men returned with two more accomplices along with them. All armed with sticks, the group brutally assaulted one of the petrol pump workers. The eyewitnesses and CCTV footage confirm that the miscreants also fired shots. They deliberately damaged the fuel dispensing machine at the Petrol Pump station. The gang further snatched a staff member’s mobile phone before fleeing the scene.
CCTV Footage and Police Investigation
The entire sequence of events was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the petrol station. The CCTV footage also showcased a customer present at the time of the attack. He was seen dropping the fuel nozzle and quickly exiting the premises as the violence began. Following the incident the Staff at the Petrol pump registered a police complaint. The police arrived on scene immediately and have since recovered five empty shells and two pellets from the location.
Search for Accused Underway
The Police have launched a manhunt and are conducting raids to trace and arrest the four accused individuals responsible for the damage. Authorities are relying heavily on the CCTV footage and other forensic evidence collected from the site.
