Father of Cabin Crew Member Demands Investigation into Ajit Pawar’s Plane Crash

The CSR Journal Magazine

Shivkumar Mali, father of Pinki Mali, a crew member who lost her life in a recent plane crash, has voiced significant concerns regarding the events surrounding the incident. The crash resulted in the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, among others on board, and has sparked widespread speculation. In light of these developments, Mali has joined calls for a complete investigation to ascertain whether the crash was due to an accident or if there are deeper, more troubling factors at play.

Demands for Justice and Transparency

In remarks to the media, Shivkumar Mali expressed his agreement with the sentiments raised by Rohit Pawar, stating that doubts have emerged about the nature of the crash. “If there is a conspiracy, then a thorough investigation must be conducted. If it is indeed an accident, only the investigation will reveal the facts. We urgently need to know if our daughter’s death was the result of foul play or simply an unfortunate incident,” Mali stated. He emphasized that the broader community is also eager for clarity on this matter.

Family’s Frustration Over Lack of Communication

Mali also expressed his frustration regarding the absence of official communication regarding compensation. He indicated that neither the government nor the airline had reached out to his family following the tragedy. “I have not been contacted about any assistance. The company should have taken the initiative to inform us about the details and compensatory measures,” Mali added, calling for a transparent inquiry into the incident. Without proper communication from the authorities or the airline, the grieving family feels unsettled and left without answers.

Political Reactions and Speculations

Rohit Pawar, an MLA from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has publicly raised questions about the circumstances surrounding his uncle Ajit Pawar’s crash. During a recent press conference, he suggested that the incident may not have been purely accidental. He cited insights from Manoj Pawar, the handler for the Arrow company, who stated that visibility was adequate at the time of the crash, contradicting earlier claims regarding environmental conditions contributing to the accident.

Concerns About Maintenance and Flight Safety

Pawar emphasized the importance of reviewing the technical log and documentation associated with the flight. He remarked that inconsistencies in statements from relevant officials warrant closer scrutiny. “The aircraft was well-maintained, and the pilots were experienced. However, there have been conflicting accounts regarding the conditions at the time of the crash,” Pawar stated. He called on investigative agencies to delve into the technical records to determine who was responsible for endorsing the flight’s clearance. Local witnesses reported unusual sounds from the aircraft prior to its landing attempt, adding to the prevailing concerns about its operation.

Investigation Underway After Fatal Incident

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, along with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, is actively pursuing the investigation into the crash, which occurred on January 28. The Learjet 45 crashed while attempting to land at Baramati Airport, resulting in the deaths of Ajit Pawar, his personal security officer, and the flight crew, which included two pilots and a flight attendant. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol announced that the black box from the aircraft has been retrieved and is currently undergoing analysis, a crucial step in understanding the crash dynamics.
