Deepinder Goyal Announces Temple’s Launch As The Smallest Wearable By Late 2026

The CSR Journal Magazine

Deepinder Goyal, co-founder of Zomato, has confirmed that his wearable device, Temple, is set to transition from an experimental gadget to a retail-ready product. This announcement indicates that Temple will soon be available for public purchase. Goyal disclosed that the latest iteration of Temple is significantly smaller than previous versions, claiming it is now the smallest wearable currently available in the market.

According to Goyal, pre-orders for a limited launch edition of the device will begin shortly. The intentions to commercialise the product highlight the progress the project has made since its initial introduction to the public. Goyal asserts that this updated version is the “most powerful” one to date.

Temple initially gained attention during Goyal’s appearance on Raj Shamani’s Figuring Out podcast earlier in the year when he demonstrated the gadget affixed to his forehead. Since then, it has also been noticed being worn by notable athletes, including badminton champion PV Sindhu, which has further contributed to its visibility.

Features And Functions Of The Temple Wearable

The Temple device is designed to offer more comprehensive insights compared to conventional devices like smartwatches or fitness trackers. While typical wearables monitor metrics such as heart rate and daily steps, Temple aims to delve deeper into brain-related activities. It is engineered to assess real-time cerebral blood flow and other signals associated with brain functionality.

The information collected by Temple includes data on oxygen levels, cognitive load, and entropy, thereby creating a clearer image of the user’s brain and body responsiveness during various activities. This functionality could be particularly beneficial for athletes, as it might provide additional insights regarding fatigue, recovery, concentration, and sleep patterns through monitoring of cerebral signals.

This approach significantly diverges from standard fitness trackers by attempting to integrate research-focused measurements typically conducted in controlled environments into a portable device usable in everyday situations. This innovative perspective presents a unique angle in the rapidly evolving wearables market.

Future Availability And Pricing Of Temple

Currently, specific details regarding the final price of Temple have not been disclosed. Nonetheless, it has been reported by India Today that the device may retail for approximately Rs 72,000. This price point, while not confirmed, suggests a premium positioning for the gadget aimed at consumers interested in advanced monitoring of their cognitive health.

As the launch approaches, the company is preparing to facilitate pre-orders for an exclusive limited edition of Temple. Prospective buyers are encouraged to register on Temple’s official website to receive pertinent updates about the pre-order process and other related announcements.

This anticipated release and the innovative features of Temple further underscore the growing interest in intelligent wearables that extend beyond traditional health metrics, potentially reshaping how individuals track and optimise their cognitive performance and well-being.
