The CSR Journal Magazine

The Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) in Kandla, Gujarat, has marked a significant milestone by surpassing 150 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo handled. This achievement comes with 18 days left in the current fiscal year, making it the fastest port to reach this milestone in the history of Indian Major Ports. The accomplishment reflects the port’s commitment to operational excellence, effective logistics management, and efficient maritime services.

Operational Resilience Amid Evolving Geopolitical Environment

DPA Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh emphasized the port’s operational resilience despite the current geopolitical landscape. He noted that the port is fully prepared to accommodate an increase in vessel traffic. Over the next 72 hours, more than 35 vessels are expected to be handled, highlighting the robust demand and readiness of Kandla Port.
