Roche Information Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., today conducted Roche Children’s Walk – a long Roche tradition, that brings Roche together to support philanthropic projects for children around the world. The contributions from the participants of the Children’s Walk support global and numerous local projects that make a difference for thousands of children.
The walk at Pune was conducted for and with differently-abled students of Late V.R. Ruia Mookbadhir Vidyalaya school. Over 100 people participated in the walk including students from the school and employees from Roche Information Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. The one-and-a-half-hour walk started from the school in the city to Parvati and back.
The funds raised by Roche employees will be matched by Roche and will be then donated to the school to fulfill their requirement for an Audiometer and Speech Trainer. These devices will help 110 students in the school who cannot talk and hear.
Audiometers help in determining the hearing threshold of a child so that a suitable treatment plan can be identified. A speech trainer is a device that can be adjusted to meet the auditory needs of a child and help in communicating using a microphone.
